SOURCE: My Jazzy wheelchair will not charge or run

First have the batteries tested to be sure that they are good. Just because they are "new" doesn't mean they are good. Then with the batteries disconnected plug the charger in and turn the chair on. This will tell you if the charger is good.

If both of these are good then you have an electrical problem. You need to call a local tech.

SOURCE: problem with joystick on Jazzy 1103 ultra

You will need to take it in for repair. 8 bar flash usually means you have a bad joystick/controller. They can sometimes send it in to the manufacturer to have it repaired. Find a reputable dealer and relay this info to them.

Permobil C 300 joystick showing joystick error and code 0E00 how to correct?

0E00 Joystick Error Joystick Error Right System fault Joystick Error

that is the info from permobil documents, it may be an error of the right motor / wiring "check all connections, unplug and plug in again all connectors, if still persists then it would seem to be an error with the controller its self, this maybe the pcb or the joystick its self, some times if you give the joystick a good workout (moving it to its limits over and over again for a couple of mins and then turn on and see if error clears) if that fails then it looks like a new joystick or the whole controller might need replacing, if you know some one with the same controller on there chair see if they will let you plug it in to your chair just to confirm it is that.

hope that helps, and if so please click "Helpful" to let others know

have a great xmas all

Lock key keeps blinkinglights blink 9 times

Depending on the controller type being used you either have a controller solenoid brake fault (sticker on bottom of joystick will say "PG Drives" and have 9-bars flashing) or a communication error between the controller and joystick (Dynamic Controller flashing wrench).
Repair for PG Drive is to replace joystick/controller.
Repair for Dynamic is to clean, remove and reseat or replace joystick cable.

I have invacare pronto m51 with surestep the spjis flashing 9 times what is the problem

The 9 flash error code indicates a communications fault. The communication fault relates to the communication between the joystick and the control module. The joystick on the arm mount is connected to the control module in the base. When there is a break in the wiring of this wiring harness, also called a bus cable, a fault occurs. This trips the computer and the computer sends out a flash code to the joystick. Simply stated there is a broken or pinched wire between the joystick and controller. Look physically at the wire and check for cuts, breaks or pinches. The best short term repair is to repair the broken wire with solder and heat shrink or tape. You can also use **** splice connectors and tape. The best long term repair is to replace the harness with a part available from Invacare. The most definitive way to diagnose this problem is to read the fault log of the controller using a hand held programmer available to dealers and certified technicians. The number and type of fault codes logged in the controller is another indicator of which
component(s) has failed. Hope this helps.

What hapens when your hover round wont start.

What happens is you won't go anywhere!

Seriously, it is usually a case of bad batteries. Each battery should show at least 12 Volts DC across the terminals. If one or both don't, replace, recharge and you should be good to go. If the batteries are good (over 12 volts), and you get no lights on at all, first check that the circuit breaker isn't tripped. It's a small button located on the base with a flexible cover. Push it to reset, and try again. If it's still dead, then remove the seat and the shroud cover and unplug, and replug every single snap-on connection to insure good contact, and check all fuses. If it is still dead, this means the power controller or the joystick are shot ($$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!). Hoverounds usually have a combo joystick/power control module made by PG Drives, and a new one runs about $1,300.00. If you go on Ebay and search for a PG drive controller, make sure that it is one that has identical connections for your chair, or it won't work. You can usually pick them up for 300-400 bucks. They are very easy to install, just unplug, inplug, and go. If you can find somebody in your area with a similar model, you can unplug their joystick and plug it into your chair. If it works, its the joystick control, if not, it's back to a bad connection.

I have a invacare The joystick mk5 will not lite up batt. are new

Some chairs, like the M91 are a real bear to replace the batteries and connectors can get knocked loose in the process. First, using a voltmeter you need to see if the controller is getting power. On the DC setting, use voltmeter at the three-pin female connection at the joystick that is the charging port. The two pins that are opposite each other are the "hot" pins, and your meter should read about 25 volts, +- 2 volts. If its 0, there is a connection that isn't made from the batteries through to the controller, or the controller or joystick is shot. If you do have power to the joystick, then it's probable that the joystick is shot. A new one from Invacare is pricey, around $1,000.00 I have found a new site that can repair most makes. I have not used them, so cannot vouch for their work, but give them a call and see what you think.

If you don't have power, start at the terminals from the battery, and follow each wire back to the power control box, unplug and replug firmly as you work your way back. Check all fuses on the way. Then check all of the other connectors inside the chair, unplug, and reconnect again. Unplug and reconnect the wires leading into the power control box, and then restart chair. If no lights still, then the power control module is probably the culprit, but the address above fixes those too. The joystick and the power control module work together to make the chair operate safely. Good luck
