We have a dometic wmd1050 front loader washing machine in caravan we did some washing today went through washing cycle ok lights went out on door lock but can't open door how do we open door

Its got a motor problem

Restart the machine...

On a NEW CYCLE... The first thing the machine
should attempt to do... is to drain itself.

If it does not...

UNPLUG IT... Restart it on a spin cycle ... or regular
wash cycle...

The latch assembly broke so you will need to use a screwdriver to manually release the latch. It will not be easy to get the door open, you will need to get in behind the latch and pry slightly to the left. The parts breakdowns are available below so you can see what you are up against. Turn the power off and leave for 5-10 minutes then turn on. This should release the door lock the problem could be the pump drain filter is blocked clean this and it should resolve future problems.

Problem seems to have corrected itself! I tried another slow spin cycle, waited a reasonable interval for the Door Locked light to go off, then when it didn't I switched the power to the machine off. I tried squeezing the door catch a few times and pressing the door downwards, then left it. Some time later when I went into the kitchen the door was open. I washed a small load this morning and the machine worked normally. Fingers crossed, it's ok now.

Press the End of Cycle Signal for 3 seconds until the Control Locked light turns off.

Sounds like the door lock unit isn't locking and may be bad. It is also a possiblity but not likely that there could be a problem with the computer board but start with the door lock unit first

just had my frigidaire fronter loader repaired,,try the door switch ...mines wouldnt spin clothes were soaked did everything else fine... what may have happen is when the spin cycle is ready to do its part it double checks to see if door is locked but with a bad switch it sends the wrong signal and computer this the door is open so it shuts off....well gl mines is running got lots of laundry to do,.,,,hope this helps

Look for the 2 buttons on your that have a lock symbol.  Pushing & hold both for 3 seconds.  This toggles the child proof mode.
