Question about Zoeller 1700078 Filter Septic Tank

Pump is not working - removed it and cleaned it -when I hold the pump and tun it on I get a shock. Help :(

Isolate the pump from the electricity supply...!!!!

Could be a fault with the windings or the electrical connection. As you're getting a shock, that's the first place to look. If water is getting into the electrical side then the seals have failed and you might need to replace it...

If you look on the shocks if the front there should be switch with an arm on it. These sometimes break or slip out of place.

Hello, Check your fuse panel and the Airride switch in the cargo area. It is usually next to the fuelpump safety switch.

Here is how the system works. The vehicle is suppose to stay low for loading and for passengers to get in and out of the vehicle. Every opening (Doors, Rear cargo lid) has to be shut before the AirRide pump will work. Then the pump will work and level the vehicle.

For the doors, it uses the doorjam switches and there is a jam switch in the cargo area opening too! This switch may look more like the one on a refrigerator or can run off the hinge mechanism. For the most part, the door ajar warning will tell you there is a problem in the openings.

After the engine is started, a Relay will power the pump. It is probably your problem if a fuse has not blown. Check with Autozone or similar for an Airpump Relay. The Air release vent Solenoid is a different part and not your problem. If the vent Solenoid was stuck, your pump would run and the vehicle would not raise.

I hope my Solution is very helpful in fixing your Expedition. There is a Diagnostic plug which requires a better Scanner to read, but it is quick and accurate. You would have to call around for Service places having the special scanner for this job if the Relay does not fix your problem.

Pump goes on for few seconds then dies. Reset fuse box several times. Pump still working.

Hello, ramrodsc2 Removal Procedure 1. Drain the cooling system untilthe coolant is below the level of the water pump. 2. Remove the drive belt guard. 3.Loosenthe waterpump pulley bolts. 4. Remove the drive belt. 5. Remove the water pump pulleybolts and remove the water pump pulley. 6. Remove thewater pump bolts then Remove the water pump. 7. Remove the water pump gasket 8. Clean the water pumpmating surfaces pay particular attention to the cleaning process and make surethe surfaces are clean. Installation Procedure 1. Install the water pump gasket. 2. Install the water pump; tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inchlbs.). 3. Install the water pump pulley.Loosely install the mounting bolts. 4. Install the drive belt; this will help hold the pulley thentightening the pulley bolts. 5. Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 inch lbs.). 6. Install the drive beltguard. 7. Fill the cooling system. 8. Location and placement of a water pump


ok you will see a pulley with NO GROVES with FOUR 10mm bolts
that's the water pump
remove that pulley
then there are FIVE 8mm bolts holding the water pump to front cover
remove the 5 water pump bolts
then use a screwdriver and hammer and tap the pump to seperate the pump from the cover
clean the old gasket off and reassemble

Need to replace my shocks and my water pump how should i start and the process of doing this


Greetings: Do you have your tools ready? You will need rachets, sockets, wrenches, DW4, breaker bar, new water pump with gasket sealer, a torque wrench and energy.
Let's get started on the shock absorbers first and loosen up your lug nuts and raise the rear of your truck and place it securely on jackstands. Remove the rear wheels. Position a floor jack under the differential and raise the jack just enough to take the weight off the axle. Remove the shock absorber top and bottom mounting nuts/bolts (you might need some WD4 Lubricant on the nuts and bolts) and remove the shock absorber. Installation is the reverse of removal but please make sure the spacer is installed on the inner side of the shock absorber. Tighten the mounting nuts and bolts to the proper torque for you truck. Do the same procedure for the front shock absorbers. That wasn't too hard was it.
Now let's change the water pump. First turn off your radio in the car so that when we disconnect the batter negative post and hook it back up we will not damage key components of the radio. Now disconnect the cable from the negative side of the battery. Next drain the cooling system coolant from the radiator into a pan. Remove the fan and shroud (that's the protection around the fan). Make a quick drawing on how the fan or drivebelts are hooked up and then remove the belts. Remove the pulley at the end of the water pump. Loosen the clamps on the water hoses and pull the hoses from the water pump. They might be tough to come off so use a pair of adjustable pliers and use them to grab each hose near the end and twist it to break the seal and then pull them off of the water pump. You might have to cut them off if they have been on too long and deteriorated. When you get read to reinstall put on new hoses.
Remove anything else such as a timing belt cover, if it is holding the water pump in. Remove the bolts from the water pump that locks the pump to the engine. Remove the water pump. Now its time to install the new pump. Clean the bolt threads and threaded holes in the engine, also the top of the engine where the old gasket was with a scraper, and lacquer thinner to remove gasket material, corrosion and old sealant. This is very important make sure the new pump matches the old one exactly or you will have to start all over after the pump is assembled and the car is ready to go because it will leak when the car is hot and under pressure. After all is clean, apply a thin coat of gasket sealant to the engine side of the new gasket. Next apply a thin layer of gasket sealant to the new water pump and then carefully mate the gasket and water pump. Install the water pump to the top of the engine (cylinder head) and carefully attach the pump, gasket and seal to the engine. Secure the water pump with two nuts, finger tight. Now this is important, pry the water pump up toward the cylinder head and install the remaining bolts. Tighten the bolts and nuts to the proper torque for your truck in 1/4-turn increments. (don't over tighten or you could cause damage or problems. Reinstall all parts removed earlier in reversed order. Make sure the radiator outlet is closed and add new antifreeze and part water. Check the drive-belt tension and crank your engine and let it run while you look for leaks. Hope I have been helpful and good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa. It is either leaking from drain pump joint or the drain pump has developed a crack. You'll need to remove the drain pump for any cracks or loose connections. Please see the steps to remove the drain pump---
Use a shop vacuum to **** all the water through the drainhose. Remove the bottom front panel held by two screws on bottom and twoplastic pins at the top. Locate drain pump in front right. Removedelectric connector on front of pump. Remove two screws holding pump down. Usedpliers to move spring clips back so hoses could be removed. Put hoses on newpump and squeeze the clamps with pliers to pull them back over the hoseconnection. The connection on the left will cause a little pain due to spacelimitations. Now put the screws back on the pump after checking and reconnectthe electric plug. Put the bottom cover back on and screw it into place.

How do you take out the battery from a 1999 tdm850


first remove seat then remove tank, unbolt the 2 nuts holding the fuel pump on then disconnect wiring and then wiring from battery remove 2 bolts holding in battery box and remove through whole where fuel pump was (take care with battery wiring).

remove bottom panel remove as much water as possible from tub ..have lots of towels handy remove clean out port on pump clean and reinstall...also ck as far into pump for something jammed in impeller ..pump may need to be removed to clean if unable to clear jam ..3 screws hold pump motor to pump body remove if necessary also ck to see if pump impeller is spinning freely on motor shaft should be some resistance when turning if impeller spins freely replace pump

ok its hard to remove the shocks without breaking the little tabs. You can tell which way they rotate out right?? There is a stop tab that stops the shock when its locked in. Rotate the other way, I use pump pliers (crescent wrench) and gently apply pressure until the tabs give. The new shock has new tabs and all..
