I have a Samsung SuncMaster 940BW 19'' LCD Monitor. It's a geat Monitor in my humble opinion in everything, except that since i got it i have one problem with it, and it wasnt possible for me...

This is a common problem with monitors when changing resolution. What probably happened is you may have tried to change the resolution, or an application changed the resolution, to an incompatible resolution.

For example, if you have a tiny little screen it can't display that huge resolution that a 32 inch monitor has. So, your monitor is stuck in that wrong resolution.

To fix this problem, you need to boot into Safe Mode. Restart your computer, and as it is booting up tap F8 a bunch of times, and then select Boot into Safe Mode.

When it boots up, right click on the desktop, click Properties (Windows XP) or Screen Resolution (Windows 7). When the window pops up, click Settings (if on Windows XP, if on Windows 7 skip to next step). From this window, change the resolution back to the basic 800 x 600 screen resolution.

Now, reboot your computer normally. You should be able to see the desktop. Now, you can do the same thing that you did in safe mode and turn up your resolution. BUT, when you change it, if the screen goes BLANK again, DO NOT press anything. After 15 seconds it should go back, and you can try a lower resolution.

Hope this helps! Thanks for using FixYa.

Picture not adjusting to full screen an dmonitor buttons Exit, brightness, contrast and Menu are not working also. Checked all buttons contacts are ok.I tried to search for vertical and horizontal variable...

You will need to reset the resolution to fill the screen. That is done through Windows.
If the actual menu buttons on the screen are not working, you probably need a new monitor.

Monitor pop menu keeps displaying in the middle of the screen

There should be a button on the front or bottom of the monitor that will make the menu disappear. Try pushing the buttons--the left button is the most likely one. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_db8f26077d264d4aa210f465db5a34e2(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_2cf9d8ce2058411c818233e09481c710(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); }

I have samsung syncmaster 740nw how can i increase screen resolution to 1024x768?

you cannot set the resolution to 1024x768 but instead try 1280x720 or if you have graphics card try to set the resolution using its custom resolution by setting 1280x768.
It will surely solve your problem.

Problems with screen

try these options, follow their order, it goes from the easyest and on: 1. every screen has maximum resolution, maybe the resolution you pick is higher than screen possibilities. 2. this may also be a resault of computer not recognizing screen. check windows defenitions, make sure windows recognizes the exact model of your screen. 3. reinstall drivers, reboot. 4. if problem is in hardware, you have to find what part is causing the problems. try connecting the screen to a new computer, try another cable, etc.
