Dell keyboard wont work

Did you mean "Del key" does not work anymore? Basically, if one or more key does not work anymore, it means the keyboard is dying and you need to replace the whole keyboard (it is affordable and more efficient). You can visit http://www.ebay.com and search the replacement keyboard using keyword "your exact laptop's model" + "keyboard". Later you can download the laptop's service manual, so you can do it by yourself if you would.

Keyboard stopped working, tried it in notepad, tried removing battery,

Check in the Device Manager for the Keyboard presence. If the keyboard does not appear it means that the keyboard doesn't commuicate with the mainboard anymore. If the keyboard appears installed and ok in the device manager, open on-screen keyboard from accesibilty and press every button on the keyboard, you should see on the computer display if any of the buttons work. If some buttons work and others don't it means that your keyboard is broken and only service can help you.

My Microsoft Wired 600 keyboard has suddenly malfunctioned and the keys "1" "Q" "A" and "Z" (as far as i know these are only ones) just wont work anymore, help?

Well, it's in a bad shape, but if you still wanna fix it, try remove all the nuts, then see for the rubber connector inside it, clean it with soft cloth and alcohol, then on the electronics board, clean it with it too.

Also recheck the PS2 connector ( if using PS2 ), sometimes this cause the problems.

W key not working

Apparently whatever the manufacturer is using for a conductive material reacts with the air to form an oxide or film that interferes with conductivity. This is not a permanent solution to an engineering problem. I have several times taken the keyboard apart (little screws on the back), removed the bubble plastic layer, pealed back the layers and then wiped the "electrical key contacts" with a cotton cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Put it back together and problem fixed-- for a while.
I think i've worn enough of the very thin material off that I can't do that anymore. Which is why I ended up here. Good luck.
