SOURCE: How do I Jail break my iPad mini

Go to a Computer and download iTunes.

Set up an Apple ID on iTunes.

Connect iPad and tell iTunes program to perform a Factory Reset.

This will clear everything off it including the password.

Here is the link. Ignore the fact it only mentions music, iTunes is the program that communicates with your iDevice via a computer.

My sister forgot her Apple ID on her iPad and she's 55 and can't remember her password what to do?

Under this circumstance you may have to reset the iPad if you forget both Apple ID and its password.

To reset iPad without Apple ID, you need first put iPad into DFU mode and connect it to your iTunes. Your iTunes will help you to reset your iPad without entering Apple ID easily. Resetting your iPad with this method will result in wiping all the data in your tablet. The following steps will show you how to do that.

Step 1: Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad to the computer with a USB cable.
Step 2: After that, turn off you device. Press and hold the Home button for 3 seconds.
Step 3: Put your iPad into DFU mode: Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds. Then release the power button and keep holding the home button. When you see the Apple logo disappears, you have successfully put your iPad into DFU mode.
Step 4: When iTunes detects that your iPad is in recovery mode, you can restore it now.
Step 5: Click on Restore iPad. Then you will be notified after the reset and your iPad will take a restart.

After resetting your iPad with the guidance mentioned above, you'd better create a new Apple ID and password in time. After resetting iPad, you will get all the data swept from iPad, and you can restore the files from your iPad, iTunes backup or iCloud backup. However, you can't backup iPad to iTunes/iCloud without Apple ID before you reset your iPad . In this case, you need the third-party iOS data recovery software to help you recover lost data from iPad after factory reset without Apple ID.

Re set ipad mini

Generally speaking, you need the Apple ID to reset your iPad. iPad needs you to enter the Apple ID to switch off your account and the Find My iPhone service will be turn off. If you are using iTunes to reset your iPad, you need to enter the Apple ID when your iPad reboots.

But if you have no Apple ID or passcode, you will have to reset your iPad without Apple ID. To reset iPad without Apple ID, you need first put iPad into DFU mode and connect it to your iTunes. Your iTunes will help you to reset your iPad without entering Apple ID easily. Resetting your iPad with this method will result in wiping all the data in your iPad. I bought an ipad air 2 i think it is for my daughter and te guy left the activaton password on it ive been trying to contact him for 3 weeks and hhe will not answer is their a way to get past this

It sounds like it may be stolen? There is no activation password on an iPad.

When you get it, it should be at a Factory Reset state and you enter your own details.

You need to go to a computer and download iTunes. Set up an Apple ID and password. You will need credit card details for this as it gives access to the App Store and iTunes itself. Most apps are free.

Connect the iPad to the computer and tell it to Factory Reset the iPad. It will remove everything on it and put it as a new unit. Work through the wizard putting your own information in and you will be fine. Write down your Apple ID, you PAssowrd and your Lock Code if you set one.

Remove iCloud lock from iPad

I am not aware of an ' iCloud Lock '. If you mean the user set passcode, the only way is to do a Factory Reset.

iCloud has a password, and that is the same one you use at the App Store. That has to remain in place to protect your credit card use. If you have forgotten that password, you can click Forgot Password link and a reset will be emailed to the email address associated with your iCloud/iStore account.

My ipad is locked how can i fix it

You have setup an iTunes account with Apple. When you connect the iPad to iTunes, (WiFi or via computer) they ask you the password for your iTunes account. If you forgot that one, Apple can send you an reset code to the mail address connected to the Apple account. (Not the iCloud mail)
If nothing works, goto the closest Apple store and take your invoice with you and an ID card, to prove you are the legal owner, perhaps they can help you.

How do i reset an inherited i pad? i do not have the original id or password

To reset the iPad, (iPod, iPhone) press the home button and the on / off button and hold both, till the apple logo appears on the screen. Then release both buttons. It will take about half a minute, till the start screen appears again.
If your iPad has iOS 7 and there is a lock screen asking for the password for an Apple ID, shown only partially don't bother resetting the iPad,because this question will com back whatever you try or whatever you do. Till now nobody has cracked that one. You need the password from the former owner. Read my other post about unlocking iPxxx.
