Is it a PIN code for the SIM or Securiry Code for the phone?
For the SIM PIN code:
no one knows your password except you. try a default password is 1234, 0000, 12345, 00000, 123456 or 000000 depending on the mannufacturer. if still no good, this is the next thing we can do.
enter 3 times a Pin code until your phone will request for a PUK code then stop. You can locate your PUK usually it is included in your sim card kit when you purchase it. if you lost it already, this is the last thing we can do. Contact your operator customer care or visit them and ask for your PUK code and they are very glad to help you. they will ask you several questions pertaining to your account to verify if you are the real owner. You can also get it on-line on most operator if they have this service at their website.
Once you receive your PUK code, you will need to enter it into your phone to set a new PIN code.
Don't forget to rate me OK! thanks...
Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."
A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your SIM card Customer Care.
When you purchase any new sim card then a PUK code prints on this card holder. You can also call to the service provider to ask PUK no of your sim card. After enter the PUK no. your phone lock will be open.
If you forgot your pin code enter it wrong 3 times, the phone will ask for a puk code.
The puk comes up when the pin code has been
entered wrong 3 times. To get the puk code for your sim card, you have
to call the service provider of that sim card. They are the only ones
who can provide you with the right puk code for that sim card.
The puk code may also have came with the documentation of the sim card, if its a prepaid card the puk code comes on the documents or on the box of the product.
if your unable to obtain the puk code, get a new sim card.
also entering the puk
code wrong too many times will eventually ruin the sim card forcing you
to buy or contact your service provider for a new sim card.
PUK code in PIN UNLOCKING CODE, which is required when you give PIN number wrongly for 3 times,
This code is OPERATOR specific and not phone specific and you have to call you operator and get PUk if PIN is blocked...
if you provide PUK code wrongly for 7 time, you sim may become useless, then you have to buy new SIM
NOTE: You should ask your service provider..

The SIM card protects your subscription and not the phone from unauthorised users. If you change SIM cards you can still use your phone with a new SIM card. Most SIM cards are blocked at the time of purchase. If your SIM card lock is on you have to enter your PIN (Personal Identity Card) every time you turn on the phone.
If you enter the wrong password three times in a row the SIM card gets blocked. This is indicated by the message PIN Blocked To unblock this you need to enter your PUK
card (Personal Unblocking Key). Your PIN and PUK is supplied by your service provider. You can edit your PIN and select a new four to eight digit number
* If the Message Codes do not match appears when you edit your PIN you entered the new PIN incorrectly.
* If the message Wrong PIN followed by Old PIN appears then it means that you have entered the old PIN incorrectly.
