Hi Nancy, If you've locked your phone through entering an incorrect pin number 3 times then you need a Puk code, Ring your service provider and they will give you the FREE Puk code.....
If you lock your phone again sometime in the future and you're still with the same service provider you can use that same Puk code..
SIM code is on the cardboard provided you by Mobil Service. If you lost it, follow this procedure: Type in the default PIN code as set by your carrier. (AT&T Wireless uses "1111"; T-Mobile uses "1234.") Press "OK." If you receive an "Incorrect Code" message, proceed to the next step.Re-enter the default PIN code until your phone displays "Enter PUK Code." (Three incorrect PIN entries will require the use of the PUK code.)Contact your wireless provider's customer service department by calling the toll-free number. (This is generally listed on your invoice.) Request the PUK code for your phone--you will need to verify your account before the code is released to you.Type in the eight-digit PUK code and press "OK." You will be prompted to enter in a new PIN code.Type in a new four- to eight-digit PIN code of your choosing, then press "OK." Re-enter the new PIN code to confirm. Press "OK." Your phone is now unlocked. Alos you can find more information about this issue doing a google search for RECOVER SIM CODE
try calling your Mobile carrier and check if they can provide you the PUK code? In case they can, then you can enter the PIN incorrectly 3 times and it shall ask you for the PUK code. Put the PUK code that you got from your Mobile Carrier and you would be able to reset the PIN using it.
