I just bought a Dell laptop, how do I download my pictures from my Sony camera? I am not a computer buff. Hope you can help me.
Hi, your sony camera should have a software bundle that came with it as well as a cable which should easlily allow you to hook up your camera and download/view/edit/store your photos on your computer, depends on the software user interface and how it looks you may find it easy but if not there is another method: your computer may have a memory card reader port, it should read SD/MMC/XD and in your case you need it to read MS or MS Pro... The MS and MS Pro are the types of memory cards used by sony, all you need to do is take the card off the camera and put it into the reader in your computer, few seconds and a pop up will come that will allow you to copy your pictures and browse/explore what is on the card... if your computer does not have the reader, pick up one at your local RadioShack, BestBuy or Walmart or any other electronics store... just be sure to pick up one compatable with your card (MS or MS pro) the reader can be put into your computer USB and will work without drivers... Should be under $10.... Best of Luck
