i have a sata hdd pc, but when i connected a pata hdd for backup. then sata hdd is not showing. what's the problem?

Check the bios to see if it made the pata drive primary. If it did the system will try to boot off of your backup drive and you could think that it is not seeing your sata drive. If that is the problem you must go into the drive configuration and make the sata primary.
