I have a total of ten speakers in my van and i want to know the best way to connect these speakers to my after market cd player they are all regular speakers not subs

I would pick the 4 closest ones and connect them..if your radio has rca connectors on it you can hardwire an amp for the 4 back ones..ulimately its up to how you want to hear the radio most of the time..

Cd player wont load ?

is it the original unit ? if so they fail .mine failed twice once under the 5 years cover then just outside .so i bought a better unit and replaced the speakers and added a small under seat ken wood sub .the sound quality is excellent if you have some basic DIY car electrical knowledge its a easy job to do just take ypour time many new head units come with DIN wiring so will fix on without any extra wiring you may have to add a live just take from cig lighter its easy to get to .there are you tube videos to help you ..the speaker that came with the car will need to be changed because they will sound poor with a new head unit .i used 6 and half inch hertz speakers and a 6x9 kenwood sub with an alpine head unit ..its very nice quality sound .

Can I use a 2 ohm impedance 6x9 speaker directly from my cars headunit?

Doubtful - the factory head unit isn't meant for 2-ohm operation and will stand a chance of damage.

Wiring new speakers

hello melgiblett, as adding additional speakers to you current factory speakers will cause and abundance of power drain, you head unit is only designed to handle 4 speakers.. the only option would be to either splice your front or rear speakers to the new 6x9's, however you will notice a significant drop in audio volume and quality as your head unit would not be powerful enough to run all 6. with the assistance of an amplifier, you may be able to acheive all 6 speakers
