it sound like the keypad has died does happan on sharps does the light come on when you open the door ,onother problem that can happen is if one of the microswitches is sticking from storage ,if they are not working in sync then the keypad won't work

Hopefully it was not an unheated storage area!
Moisture and contamination can get into the controls from condensation due to big changes in air temperatures in areas like unheated storage units or garages.
That being said, the most common causes of a failure to heat are in order:
- bad door switches or door switch mounts
- loose connection at the magnetron
- problem with the control unit
- bad magnetron or other high voltage part
