I receive E-mails,but can't reply to them

I'll assume this is a general problem and not only on occasion. I'll also assume that you're using a "mail" app to read your mail.
If so: Some providers do not accept outgoing mail from a server other than what they see for your computer. They will Deliver, but if you're using wifi or a cell connection, it looks too much like someone else hacking in.

The workaround is to use a browser and the provider's "webmail address". I use Safari and bookmark my access. It remembers my password and turns ut to be easier to delete old mail. Log on to your provider's website and look for its mail options.

N.j.b.c.candc@aol.com

Step 1 Tap the "Mail" app on your iPad's home screen, tap "Other" and tap "Mail Account." If you already have an email account set up, tap the "Settings" icon on the home screen, tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" in the sidebar and tap "Add Account."
Step 2 Type your name into the "Name" box using the onscreen keyboard. You can enter any name you want; your iPad sends this name with each email you send.
Step 21 Type your full AOL email address in the form "Name@aol.com" into the "Address" box. If you have an AOL email address with a different domain, such as "@games.com" or "@love.com," use that domain instead.
Step 31 Enter your AOL email password into the "Password" box.
Step 41 Type a description for your email account into the "Description" box and tap "Next."
Step 51 Tap "IMAP" at the top of the New Account pane.
Step 61 Type "Imap.aol.com" into the "Host Name" box under "Incoming Mail Server."
Step 71 Type "Smtp.aol.com" into the "Host Name" box under "Outgoing Mail Server."
Step 81 Enter your full AOL email address into the "Username" boxes under both "Incoming Mail Server" and "Outgoing Mail Server."
Step 91 Enter your AOL email password into the "Password" boxes under "Incoming Mail Server" and "Outgoing Mail Server."
Step 101 Tap "Next." Your iPad verifies the settings.

My e-mail application for my Rumor 2 won't sync my inbox anymore... it just stays stuck on "connecting..." Web browser works fine though.

You have to make sure that you still have the correct incoming and outgoing mail servers set to the e-mail client of your phone.

Since you did not mention your e-mail service provider, what you need to do is to call your e-mail provider and ask for the mail servers (incoming and outgoing).

Then you need to try to change the incoming and outgoing "PORTS". The port settings will depend on the type of account that you setup on your phone. It could be POP or IMAP account.

Here are the ports:

- Incoming ports for POP
110 or 995

- Incoming ports for IMAP
143 or 993

- Outgoing ports for POP and IMAP
25 or 2525 or 587 or 465 (optional SSL).

Thank you and good luck!

Email access on nokia e71x

There are two ways to access your e-mail using your phone. One is via the Web browser. Opening the Web browser and going to www.myemail.com (this is just an example).

Another way is by configuring your e-mail using an e-mail client of your phone and set up your e-mail using POP, IMAP or Exchange.

First, you need to contact your e-mail provider to see what server do you have for your e-mail. If they tell you that your e-mail could support POP or IMAP, get the incoming and outgoing mail server and their ports.

Ask your e-mail provider if the incoming and outgoing ports needs an authentication (SSL) or not.

After getting the required information, contact the phone manufacturer and they know where to put the information that you've got from your e-mail provider.

Have a great day!

Trying to set up outlook but dont know incoming and outgoing servers how do i find out

The incoming and outgoing mail servers are going to be the ones used by your ISP(internet service provider:Time Warner,Verizon, ect) if you use their mail service or a web based service(Yahoo,MSN,ect). So you can first start with your actual e-mail address. If your e-mail address is joeschmo@yahoo.com then you e-mail provider is yahoo. You will then need to goto the website for your e-mail provider and get the incoming and outgoing e-mail server info from them. You will also need your username and password for your e-mail account. Then set up a new e-mail account on outlook express using the information. Also some mail servers require authentication so you might need to configure those settings on outlook exprerss also.

Outgoing and incoming server settings

Every E-mail service has different setting. You need to contact or check the web site of that company that provides the E-mail. If it's Comcast, check their page. If it's a smaller company, check their web site for the settings. There are no standard settings.

Settinh up an e-mail account

Incoming and outgoing servers are set by the host of your email service.

For instance BT is: mail.btinternet.com, for incoming and outgoing mail. Speak to your provider to get these details or alternatively look at this site:

http://www.realifewebdesigns.com/web-resources/pop3-smtp.html

There are many other sites that may help with addresses.
Do a google search for. Incoming and outgoing mailservers

Hope this helps
