Late to the party I guess. Lots of entries for setting the clock, but not for the alarm. Press the plus or minus button. That's it. After you have the time set, you can then press the ALARM button above the WAVE/SET button to turn it on.
Press and hold the "Alarm Set"
button for five to seven seconds if you have an Insta-Set 40001, 44100
or 44200 model; the year will begin to blink when the clock is ready for
adjustment. If you have an Insta-Set 40009 or 40018, hold the "DST"
button for five to seven seconds (until the hour begins to blink).
Set the year by pressing the right-arrow, "Up" or "+" button, depending on your model of clock.
Set the month, day, hour and
minute. Press the "Alarm Set" or "DST" button to cycle through each
field, and use the "Up," "+" or right-arrow button to adjust the values
within each field.
Press the "Alarm Set" or "DST" button after setting the date and time to store the information into your clock's memory.
I couldn't find the information for your particular model, but I did figure out the general procedure for Memorex alarm clocks currently in production:
Make sure power is turned off (no radio or whatever playing). Press the Time Set button (on some models, this is the Skip Search Back button for an iPod docked in the unit).
When the display blinks (on one model, the volume control knob lights up), press the Hour button (Vol. -) to set the hour, then press the Minutes button (Vol. +) to set the minutes. On the model with the light-up volume control, rotate the volume control knob to set the time.
When you have the time set, either wait 15 seconds or press the Time Set button again to start the clock.
Setting the alarm works the same way on single alarm models, but the Alarm Set button may be the Skip Search Forward button. Dual alarm models have separate Alarm A and Alarm B buttons.
Here is how I set my ZENITH ZG120M radio alarm clock.
1) PRESS AND HOLD DOWN the HOUR BUTTON and then PRESS the TIME BUTTON to set the correct hour. 2) PRESS AND HOLD DOWN the MINUTE BUTTON and then PRESS the TIME BUTTON to set the correct minute.
To Set The Wake Up Time 1) PRESS and HOLD DOWN the SNOOZE/ALARM SET BUTTON and then PRESS the HOUR BUTTON to set the desired hour. 2) Press and HOLD DOWN the SNOOZE/ALARM SET BUTTON and then PRESS the MINUTE BUTTON to set the desired minute.
There are two light indicators that light up on the left side of the LED display...the top light indicator will come
on once the time turns to PM. The bottom light indicates the alarm is set.
AHAH! I had this problem also, so i tried google and it led me here. Luckily, I kept trying and figured it out so I will share my knowledge with you although you may have found it out already...
First, make sure the radio and ipod are off and it's in clock display mode.
Then, click and hold "alm set" while clicking the left "timer set" arrow to set the hour of your alarm and the right "timer set" arrow to set minutes for your alarm.
Then click "alm on/off" to turn it on and off.
While holding down the snooze bar that says "ALARM" on it, hold down either of the "HOUR" button to set the hour when the alarm should go off or hold down the "MINUTE" button to adjust the minutes for when the alarm should go off. Switch the "ALARM" to "ON" when done.
