Dpsb620gc4ww relay on control board not engaging to deliver power to dryer motor

I bought a tech manual and through the diagnosis it would appear that I am not getting power through the relay on the control board to the dryer motor. Trying to find the part online and whether I could actually just replace the relay on the board

there should be 2 clips you kind of press and then it should pull off. if not look to see if there is a leg that also go's into the bord if so you need to move it in to reles it from the bord and then it should pull off.

SOURCE: Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW Will not spin

maytag neptune washers do have a motor problem and they have a kit to replace the motor and motor controller.
when the motor fails, it wont wash or spin. most units have a 5 year parts warranty and should be replaced with a free part, but you will have to pay an authorized servicer to do this.
if it is over 5 years then i would call maytag and see if they will help you with an authorization for repair.
most of the time they will provide the part for free. just call the 800 # and ask for help. they wont send you the part but might give you some help with the parts.

you can use a test light to see if you are getting power to your shift actuator by unplugging actuator and testing for power at your wires while someone activates your switch,if you have power then should be a bad actuator.

2 options.
1. your belt broke and the microswitch on the idler pulley is not being depressed therefor the motor will get power. This is easy to diagnose. Open the door and try turning the drum by hand. If it spins with little to no resistance then you need a new belt. If it spins but has resistance then you don't.
2. The motor relay on the control board is bad. The control will run through diagnostics and can appear fine even if this relay is bad.

My samsung fronload dryer will not spin. There is no error code. Someone came out and told me that I need a belt. The belt was replaced but the tech now says he

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Belt
The belt may have come off or broke. If you hear the motor running but nothings moving the problem is likely the belt. This is easy to check and replace. .

Door Switch
This can cause the washer to not agitate or go into the spin cycle. You will need to remove the door switch to check it. You will perform an ohm reading on the bottom terminals. The reading varies from manufacturers most Frigidaires is around 1500 ohms others like the whirlpool duet is checked at the main control board with the door closed should be around zero ohms. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual for the proper reading.

Main Control Module / CCU
The main control unit is the circuit board located behind the console. If the door switch tests good the main control is usually the problem. Check all connections for a goood tight fit. You will need to refer to the tech sheet or service manual to check this further. The main control is easy to replace

Motor Control Module

The motor Control Module is located inside the cabinet down near the motor. This recieves the signals from the main control module then relays this information to the motor. Check all connections sometimes a communcation problem is just a loose connection. The Motor Control Module is esasy to replace .. To check this further you will need to refer to your tech sheet or service manual.

Kenmore elite dryer 11063942101 works if I force the switch to stay in the on position but won't start by just pressing the switch. Replaced pust-to-start switch. Same problem. Vacuuming out the areas...

The problem is definitely not the motor but rather the motor relay or the electronic control. Either the motor relay is not working to close the motor circuit or the electronic control is not powering up the motor relay to serve its function.

The motor relay and the heater relay are identical and can be used interchangeably. The heater relay may be used in place of the motor relay if the dryer heats up when the start switch is held on. It indicates that the heater relay is working.

Disconnect power to the dryer then pull the end cap trims off then remove the control panel securing screws. Once the screws are removed, rotate the control panel up to the rear of the dryer.

Disconnect the wires and remove the relays then put each in the place of the other. Refer to the component layout diagram for the location of the relays.

Reconnect the wires then rotate the control panel down back into position then plug the dryer in and start it. The dryer should start and continue to run when the start switch is released since the working heater relay is used but will not heat up indicating that the motor relay is not working. Otherwise the fault is in the electronic control.

Replace the faulty component and it should address the problem. The relay (heater/motor) is part number
3405281 and the electronic control is part number W10116565.

Squeeze on the electronic control mounting bracket as shown then pull the board up to remove.

Insert the new control board and gently press it down into position. Transfer the wires from the old board to the new board one at a time.

Simply unscrew the relay to be replaced then secure the new one into position and transfer the wires.

Rotate the control panel down and secure it back into position to complete the repair.

When i start dryer it does not start . 88 appears in the display

This is indicating an error in the motor relay area.

Try powering off the AC to the machine and let it stand for 30 mins. Then reconnect the power to see if the error persists.

If it does then

Check:
· relay coil
· wire harnessand the control board

Unfortunately to repair this you will have to replace the whole control board.

Dryer will not start

There is a start relay on the computer control board. You probably hear a very dull click. That click is the relay on the computer board trying to engage, but it won't and therefore your dryer won't spin and your board sends a beep and perhaps an "E11" error code to the LED display (Not sure on Kenmores.).

In plain english, you have a bad control board now and will have to replace it. Cost about $130.

That should be just a push to start switch. The start switch is inside the motor. When the motor turns fast enough it trips an internal switch to keep the motor running. It sounds like you have a motor on the way out.
