How to do plot and whiskers in a casio fx-115ES calculator

This is not a graphing calculator, so you cannot perform a box and whiskers plot.
If you know how to find the Median(=Q2), the lower (Q1), and upper (Q3) quartiles, you can draw your box and whiskers plot on a piece of paper.

Rane me 15 blows fuse

If at off position, fuse doesn't blow

• check shorted/leaky components after the capacitors

such as Q3, Q4 , Q5 and regulators Q1 and Q2

• or simply remove them all, put it back one at a time to find the cause

but be sure to mark , so you can put the good ones back .

Red light won't turn to green

This is a common problem. There are several capacitors on the power supply and logic board that are bad. Replacement of these parts has restore all units that I have looked at.

On the power supply I would replace at a minimum:
C14 - 4.7ufd 50v UPW1H4R7MDD
C4 - 1ufd 50v UPW1H010MDD
C8 - 100ufd 25v UHE1E101MED
C10 - 470ufd 16v UHE1C471MPD
C12 - 1000ufd 10v UHE1A102MPD

There are 4 others in the supply that were not grossly bad.
C1 - 22ufd 400v EEU-EE2G220
C7 - 220ufd 25v UHE1E221MPD
C11 - Same as C10
C13 - Same as C10

Logic board:
E5 - 33uf 35v EEU-FM1A471
E6 - Same as E5

Part Numbers of replacement caps are Nichicon or Panasonic.

Note: Caps on the logic board are extremely hard to replace due to the internal ground plane.

HP PL4260N 42 in. HDTV Plasma Television Problem. there isn't picture or sound, i believe the part i am looking for is: p n 3501000201a sn sa06296537

The problem is with the YSUS board. Also 1 or two fuses (4A) will be blown so you will need to replace those along with the YPPD-J018C Hybrid IC module that is under the large heat-sink. I'm an EE in my day job so I have done this sort of repair from time to time but it can be intimidating unless you have very good soldering skills and a good solder station such as a MetCal. You will need a lot of heat to free the pins before prying this IC up. Failure to do it correctly may lift some of the delicate traces and the new part will not work! When removing the IC I always add leaded solder on these lead-free boards because it flows better. Also adding extra flux and using a Soldapullit Solder Tool works well. You keep adding the solder and sucking it back up...until the pins are relatively clean. Removing the IC still took me about 1/2 hr. to get enough solder sucked up until I finally was able to stick a screwdriver under it and pry it up. Do this gently, on several places on the IC to break it loose. On my board Q1 was blown but since there 4 of these same little semi-conductors, your problem might be Q2, Q3, or Q4? They are easy to spot because they blow apart catastrophically, there was black soot around mine. Also, one of the main reason this part failed is because the white heat sink grease was dry. This means that the heat-sink was not able to adsorb the heat from the board as well anymore and then it just got too hot and failed. So use a good high end thermal grease when you put the new YPPD-J018C part back on the heatsink. Something with silver like Artic Silver will cost about $10.00 a tube. This will make the TV last much longer. The YPPD-J018C part should run you anywhere from $39.95-$49.95 plus shipping. Both Suburban Electronics in MD. and Rich-Tech have the part. Good luck!

Directv DVR R15-500 problem

I had a similar problem the orange record light was on and the unit could not be turned on. I didn't want to replace the unit since all recording would be gone. After some googling I found that the problem was related to the power supply. I found three capacitors with swollen tops 2 1000uf@10V and 1 1200uf@10v. I replaced them and everything works again.
