Try plugging it into itunes and reformatting it to its original state, if that doesn't work turn it off by pressing the menu and play button, then directly aftewr push the menu and revers button, i think you can reset it from there.

Forgot my code to unlick my ipod

Hi friend, Don't worry.. It is easy to solve your problem. Just follow these steps..
  1. Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod Nano. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer. Open the iTunes program by using the Dock on a Mac or the Start menu on a PC. if you don't have itunes software, get it from here.
  • Select your iPod Nano from the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window. Click on the "Sync" button to make a connection between your computer and your iPod Nano.
  • Click on the "Eject" symbol once the syncing process is complete. Remove your iPod Nano from the USB cable. The iPod's lock code will now be reset and you will be able to access all features again.
  • Navigate to the "Screen Lock" option in the iPod menu to lock your iPod's screen again. Since your iPod's lock code was just reset, you will be prompted to select a new four-digit code

restart the ipod...maybe this works...

n some cases, your iPod nano may simply need to be reset. Follow the steps below to reset your iPod nano:
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again).
  2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously for about 6 to 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. You may need to repeat this step.

My Ipod is locked and my son forgot the code. How do I unlock it? It's an ipod nano A1236 and i have already tried a lot of codes and it dosen't work.

If you forgot your passcode for your Nano, then you will have to do a restore on your Nano which you'll have to do via iTunes; which will erase all data on your Nano, and restore all settings to factory default.
There is no other way to recover your passcode if you forgot it.
Once you run a recovery via iTunes you can re-add your music, etc.

I locked my ipod and forgot the code

If you have a third gen ipod nano and you locked the screen lock and forgot the code, well what you do is you hook your ipod to your PC,laptop ect. and disconnect it. It should be unlocked. But if you lock it you have to do that over again to unlock it.

Ipod nano lock forgot password

First, try to restore using iTunes. If this doesn't work, place your iPod in disk mode (hold the menu and center buttons down togther) and as soon as you see the Apple symbol come up hold the center and play (bottom) buttons down together until you see a check mark (disk mode). It may take a few trys.

Now connect your iPod to your computer. Go to my computer and right click the drive associate with your iPod (for example F: ) and scroll down to FORMAT. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - CHOOSE FAT32 and then check the "Quick Format" box. After you do this then use iTunes to Restore your iPods another time.
