I have a 1 1/2 hp 230/110 marathon single phase motor controlled by forward reversing starters with 24 volt controlled. How do I wire this motor up for for/rev ???

You need to determine at which voltage you will run this motor. A motor starter mechanically and electrically interlocked for F & R. with 24v transformer, a SS and FR station. This is expensive but sweet, needs room for this equipment.
The easy budget is by using a drum switch.
The motor nameplate or splice box cover will hand the info on how to connect the motor for either voltage and for CW and CCW rotation.
The magnetic motor starter also will include a wiring diagram.

H ms steve, trying to make sure my 1 hp magnetek 1725 rpm motor is set up for 230 v...magnetek century ac motor the only numbers I see is 164014 please help

There should be a diagram on the side of the motor for proper wiring. Some motors are dual voltage capable others are either 240 or 120 line supply only. They will not be convertible! So you have to bring in what they are labeled as.

Some times the diagram is inside the cover where you make the external connections for in/coming in supply wires.

I haven't marathon electric 3 horsepower motor I need to know how to wire a 220 the wires inside

Motor needs to be able to accept 230! If dual voltage, then instructions should be on the label. if already 230, then one wire goes on Ln1 the other hot wire goes on Ln2, ground will go to ground lug (green screw usually) If motor is only 120, then NO 230. NORMALLY a 3 HP will not be 130, almost always it will be a 230 If you need to switch between the voltages then follow instructions on the label or on the inside of back cover on motor.

Need wiring diagram for a marathon 1/2 hp electric motor 220 to 115volt

HAVE POWER TURNED OFF AND LOCKED OUT. If the motor is a dual voltage motor it should have a wiring diagram on the motor. Check on the name plate of the motor. You should see a high and low voltage diagram. Follow the low voltage numbering. The widings need reconfigured to operate at a different voltage. Hope this helps you...Jim

I need a wiring diagram for a kobalt 60 gallon air compressor

If it's a 220 volt motor, hook l1 and l2 (220 volts) to the line terminals. If it's a'dual voltage' motor (120 or 220)and you want to use 120, hook 120 to the terminals marked 'line'. Make sure the motor is connected for the voltage you're using if it's dual voltage.
