It sounds like you have a natural gas burnwer, but are using propane as your fuel. If this is the case, order a propane conversion kit. Good luck!

FLAME IS YELLOW INSTEAD BLUE for sunbeam gas range

Yellow usually means more air than gas mixing at the burner. The top of the stove lifts off. There are adjustment screws in front of every burner. Turn the burner on after first locating the screw. Turn the adjustment screw until desired flame is achieved. You want a flame with a yellow tip and the body of the flame blue. Please be very careful not to get burned. Hope this helps.

When one of the gas hobs is on ,it does not burn with a blue flame but a more yellow one .also black soot forms under the burner plate.it is on lpg

Have to adjust the piolot lights for the amount of gas coming out. U have too much gas coming out(yellow flame). On older gas ranges, there was a small screw between the piolot light & burners that had to be adjusted. (if this is a older model) have to turn the screw just a little at a time, till ur flame returns to blue on ur burners. Hope this helps.

When i turn my oven on, the flames come up into

If the burner pressure is adjustable(some are not) you can use a small adjustable wrench to turn the gas orfice to lower the gas pressure. The orfice is usually located in the broiler/storage comaprtment at the very bottom of the range. It is the brass piece that goes into the burner venturri and is where the gas comes out. If your turn it clockwise it will decrease pressure & counter clockwise will increase pressure. If the flames are coming into the burner compartment that is quite an increase in pressure!!! Make sure the the range did not have the gas regulator removed. If it was then that would explain why the oven burner pressure is so high.

OVEN FLAME TOO HIGH

HI, To adjust the size of the flame, turn the orfice clockwise to make it smaller. you can also try and adjust the air shuttle on the burner.
Are you trying to change from natural to LP?
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Flame way too high and yellow-Frigidaire Model #FGF328GM

call an approved frigidaire gas technician as it is possible that the jets in use are not for the propane gas
they are probably natural gas jets which have a larger jet size
the air shrouds around the jets have to also be adjusted to get the blue flame
you may be able to have it checked out under warranty as it is new
if you touch it your self , the warranty will be void

Burner flame adjustment

there are two considerations for burner height. 1) the gas adjustment screw on the knob and 2) the gas-air mixture to the burner. establish a flame and adjust the screw for a standing flame at the burner. adjust the gas-air ratio orifice so that the flame has no yellow tips.
