Question about Bernina Sewing Machines
I regularly clean and oil the machine and use it very often. Just can't seem to correct the tension to last.
Unless something has gone haywire with the tension controls:
Remove all the thread from the machine (never pull the thread up, always pull the thread down through the needles & loopers after cutting the thread near the spools).
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Give each thread an extra little tug when going through the tension disks.
Set the tensions at the midway point. (This is the factory default but may need to be tweaked for your machine because of wear and deviations.)
If you still cannot get consistent tension, then your machine may need service.
