When the belts wear to much the dont have the ability to pull like new. look at the belt if it has cracks in it or looks like it might have wear replace it. this should bring it back to how it was.

I have a john deere d140 mower and the belt that makes it move has come off. I need to know what belt this is?

it is the drive belt. there should be a part number under the hood. if not get the model number under the seat and any mower repair parts store can get you this belt. good luck.

there is a small handle on the back of most riders allowing you to free wheel the machine. If you can push your machine freely now then push the handle in and it should drive

My craftsman LT 100 does fine on level surfaces, but on the slightest incline it will not pull itself. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks

Could be one of two problems. The drive belt may be stretched, and worn.Or the tires may have tread worn to much.I would start by checking the drive belt. With the mower off,and in gear.Reach in and make sure the drive belt is tight. If it is not, replace it.

My riding mower will no longer climb up a incline but will move on flat ground. What is wrong?

If it is hydrostatic check the oil in the trans-axle, if standard shift the drive belt is probably slipping
