The diode on the L shaped heat sink and next to the two 470uf x 25 volt capacitors is a TO-220 10amp x 100 volt rectifier diode. This is the one that more commonly fails, but they usually don't burn up too bad?
there are many different manufacturers that make these. SBR10100CT is one. Here is a link to one:

The one on the straight heatsink is a 600volt power mosfet like this STF9NK60ZD:

If it was this one that blew up, you may have other issues.
Viewsonic wont give out that information because they have no clue what you are talking about !!

- OOP'S WRONG MODEL !! This info would be for a vx910 or vx924 and some vx710s. Back to you soon on the correct info.

- The vx922 if you have the FSP043 board has two rectifiers
One is a MBR10100ct like the one mentioned in the vx910 above
The other is a SBL1045 10amp 45 volt rectifier diode like
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=SBL1045CTDI-ND
The main power mosfet is a FSDM0565R by Fairchild semiconductor
