Why is Fixya no bloody good at answering questions when you advertise you can answer questions

Sorry. I\'m from Europe, know things about electronics and computers but I don\'t drive a Kawasaki GTR 1000. Lots of questions about electronics, camera\'s, computers phones and operating systems I try to answer. For the more than 2000 answers I gave I got lots and lots of thanks, but I never got one penny. All the people who try to answer questions, do this for free. They at least have the standard they don\'t try to sell crap or don\'t answer things they don\'t have any idea from.

If none of all the volunteers has (or has had) a Kawasaki GTR 1000 it is not likely anyone can answer this question. I do have some manuals, yes even service manuals of motor bikes, but not one from Kawasaki, so I even can\'t look up what I could answer to your question.

I think one call to a place where they sell Kawasaki cam tell you what oil you need. They perhaps even have it in stock. But not knowing any motor home close to me, I do not make such a call.

I hope you understand all the volunteers here do their best, but can\'t answer all questions. I do have to admit your questions are very clear and better to understand than lots of other questions, but we (till now) don\'t have an answer.

Again Sorry.

Need to find how to work out the sum highest point3210ft lowest point -15ft the difference between these two points

Why don't you deduct -15 from 3210?

3210 [ - ] 15 [(-)] [ = ]
The answer will be 3225 because
3210 - (-15) = 3210 + 15
Hope you got the answer.
Please rate my solution so that I am encouraged to help others like you.

I HAVE A DELL INSPIRON M501R, IT FAILS TO CONNECT TO EXTERNAL DISPLAYS LIKE PROJECTORS

Hi

You don't say which operating system you are using.

You don't describe what steps you have tried.

Therefore, the advice I give can only be general, rather than the specific advice I might be able to give if I had more background information.

To send the screen image from the laptop to an External LCD TV, Desktop PC Monitor or a Projector with a VGA or HDMI Cable:

Connect the cable to both devices > power up the laptop > simultaneously press the Fn key + a function key with the picture of 2 monitors (usually F5, F6 or F7) after the computer has booted into the Operating System's desktop and settled down.

I hope this helps.

My toshiba laptop says I need to install Ethernet controller, and it's asking me if I have a disk, but I don't have one, so how do I install it?

Hi

You don't say whether you have changed or upgraded the original Operating System.

You need this device to be installed if you use Wired Broadband to access the internet.

Download and install the LAN Driver for your Vista (or Windows 7) Operating System from here:

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2144778&rpn=PSLB8U&modelFilter=L305-S5891&selCategory=2756709&selFamily=1073768663

Install the LAN/Ethernet Driver > restart the computer.

Since you have no Drivers & Utilities CD, you might consider downloading the other drivers and utilities on this download page and saving them on your computer or on an external storage device in case of future problems.

Save the download page in your Browser Favourites Folder for future Toshiba updates and security patches.

I purchased a wifi card for my N610c but don't see where it's installed

Hi

You don't say which operating system you are using.

You don't say which brand, type, format and model of Wifi Card you bought.

If it is an internal card, this cannot be installed without total disassembly of the notebook and, even then, might not fit because the motherboard might not support it or even have a slot for it. This card also requires internal aerial wires. Such a device also needs channels and LCD Panel sockets for the card's aerial wires.

What you should do is go back to where you bought the card from and exchange it for either a PCMCIA or USB Wireles LAN card, which fit simply into the notebook via its PCMCIA or USB ports. After you install the software and restart the PC, your notebook will be able to connect to your wireless router.

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO OK I NEED THE AWNSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will not be able to find an answer if you do not ask a question or state a problem. Currently we know that you need an answer on how to do something but you don't state what your problem actually is. Please resubmit problem so that we might better assist you with a solution.

Also putting many exclamation points at the end of your statement does not assist in getting a solution any quicker. Thank you.

I just replaced the piston in a 74 yamaha 175 mx. It had spark before the rebuild, but not now What tests can I perform? Thanks, Randy.

First, get a new spark plug. Next remove the gas tank and check the small black wire running out of the coil. Is it plugged into a wire connector?. Check the spark plug wire and plug cap also. All connections should be snug and clean. Is the handlebar kill switch in the off position? Check the key switch wire connections. Check the neutral switch wire. I don't remember if the side stand had a kill switch or not. Check it out. I think it didn't have a switch. Check the battery connections. Check the wire coming from the points. Good connection? Run a fingernail file between the contact points to remove any pitting and foreign matter. Set the points to a .015 opening when the points are at full open position on the cam. These things are in the sequence I would check. Please rate my answer. tombones49_217.gif
