You need to contact straight talk's support and tell them your mobile number porting from verizon to straight talk has not been done properly and verizon is being contacted instead of straight talk phone. Verizon will have to release your #
but you want Straight talk to port your # to them (it could get lost if this doesn't happen )

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

I have this phone through verizon. Can I switch to straight talk? Can I keep my number and contacts ?

if you have a plan with verizon and it is locked into that service provider then you will probably have to pay out the contract before you will be allowed to change over to a new service provider
AS to keeping the same number that will up to the service providers , so best you direct all discussion to them to get the results you want
you have a phone , call their customer people direct

Can I change my verizon moto g to straight talk without making a new straight talk account?

yes you do not have ot give straight talk any info about yourself you do not have to buy anything other then their activation kit its 60 dollars and comes with a 45 $ card. you just need to tell them you would like to bring your moto g to straight talk you have b ought the activation kit and would like to set up a new number and when they ask for your address email and other info just say i would like to not give out any personal info. I work retail and deal with this all the time.

How do I get my new straight talk imei number for my phone that has already previously been transferred to straight talk

There can be only one IMEI on the phone, and it is "permanently" attached to your phone, typically on an adhesive label underneath the battery, or if it is a smartphone, it is easily located by going to your phone's settings>general>about (for example, on Apple's iOS), and similarly on Android and other types of OS. It is a permanent part of your phone's identity, absolutely unrelated to the phone number assigned to the device.
