Lighting knocked out a base of VTech 15950. I replaced whole unit, working ok. But old handset, registered with old base shows "Out of range OR No power at base ". It doesn't response to any button.

There is a registration process you have to go through with each handset to connect the old handsets to the new base. It should explain it in the users manual for the base.

This usually happens when there is a defective CCD unit, This is the part that looks at the image and sends the signals to the cameras electronic systems. the unit has failed and will need to be replaced.

My keyboard not working?what will i do/

If you can get hold of an external keyboard, that might be a temporary solution (usb type, unless you have an older laptop with the old ps2 connection) Otherwise restart the computer (I assume mouse/pad is working,) and see if it works then. Otherwise, on restart press f8, and try last known good configuration in the choices. On laptops usually there is a cover strip at top of base unit to remove, and a sometimes screws at the base , and top of keyboard that holds the keyboard in- if you are not up to removing it to do it yourself-- If none of those work, you may have to have the keyboard replaced.

Base unit cuts out and resets by unpluging and pluging in.

It sounds like your handset's battery is failing on you. How old is it? If it is more than a year or 2 old, you might want to replace it.

Programming old handsets to a new base

Cancel the old handsets registration at the previous base unit if desired.
For additional handsets, you must register each of them at the new base unit. Only one handset can be registered at a time. A handset will be assigned anextension number at registration.

Make sure the base unit and the other handsets are not being used. Program the same way as the extra handset you bought.

Registration must be completed within 1 minute.
