    There is a specific program provided by the tablet itself when pluged in where you can calibrate the pen (preassure, speed and such) but I can't do anything besides watching my pointer moving on its own. I even removed the battery from my pen thinking it may be the lack of power in it that may be causing the problem and even so the problem persists. So I'm guessing it's the tablet itself. I unpluged my mouse as well to see if was a matter of compatibility but the problem is still there. I ran out of ideas..

    Just to say how I "fixed" this.

    After I uninstalled and reinstalled as suggested and since the problem persisted after I connected my tablet I went to the device manager and there I noticed that besides my mouse there were two(!) other mouses listed. My mouse is PS/2 but the other two were listed as HID so I deleted those two extra mouses (with my tablet connected) and the mouse stoped moving! Problem solved! =) Then I just had to replace my old pen battery for a new one and it's working just fine now.

    Thank you!

Id you install the software before you connected the tablet? Do so remove it all software and hardware install software first then shut down in stall hard ware 2nd then boot up. If ths is not woorking then go to the device manager to see if there is a conflict in memory or it is using an interupt that is not PCI configure.

I must have hit a button and now the cursor is showing up on the big screen off the projector but I only want to see it on my laptop while doing my presentation.

Hi renee_pott, "You can choose the "Mouse Options" in the Control Panel.
First, click on the -> Start button -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse ->
Mouse Properties -> Pointer Options.
Try one 'or' more options:
* Snap To, place a (Check in the box) !
* Hide pointer while typing !
* Show location of pointer when I press the {CTRL key} !
  • Usually the "Mouse" pointer by { Default }, is displayed during a slide presentation, and when the mouse is moved.
  • " Try pressing the {Ctrl + H keys to "Hide" the mouse pointer}."
  • Left-clicking on the "Mouse" button, will advance [forward] the slide show.
  • Pressing Ctrl + A keys, will restore the "Mouse" pointer.

I have a HP pavillion DV6-1250us Windows vista home premium and i cannot get my mouse to scroll up or down? how do i fix this?

To move the pointer, slide your finger across the TouchPad surface in the direction you want the pointer to go. Use the TouchPad buttons like the corresponding buttons on an external mouse. To scroll up and down using the TouchPad vertical scroll zone (right edge of the touchpad), slide your finger up or down over the lines.

NOTE: If you are using the TouchPad to move the pointer, you must lift your finger off the TouchPad
before moving it to the scroll zone.

Wait for the Control Panel manu to open and then locate the "Search Control Panel" bar at the top of the menu on the the right-hand side. Type in "mouse" (no quote marks) in the window and locate the mouse menu at the top, left side of the menu.

Click on the "Pointer Options" window tab and locate the heading that says "Motion." In the Motion section, find the slide ajustment bar that is labeled "Slow" on the left side and "Fast" on the right side of the bar.

It may be in "accessibility" mode.

Tap the touchpad five times. A message will appear. Change it to normal mode, disable accessibility option.

Mouse cursor moving by itself

In windows xp go into start menu, then into control panel then click on appearance and themes, then move your mouse over to mouse pointers click on it , uncheck "enhance pointer precision, and click apply, that will stop the mouse from acting crazy, this will work with dell mouse pointers and most.
