SOURCE: Replaced door seal now door is difficult to close.

Sometimes, it is hard to close door after fitting a new seal.
Make sure you have got it fitted correctly round the flange on the front of the cabinet, and that the retaining clamp is securely fastened.
Try smearing the door glass with washing up liquid, this can help to close the door more easily

SOURCE: i have a hotpoint ultima

I have this exact problem. it starts during a cycle or after and then although the door locks the light to say it is only briefly flickers on and it will not let the cycle start. I have fixed this several times but am not sure how. I replaced the part that engages the lock even though the lock works and checked the control board at the bottom to see if it had blown anything (earth or components ect) and it was ok for a week or so. It did it again, I checked the connectors again on the control board again and once again it started ok. Again it did it, this time I thought that there was nothing obvious with the control board, unless a dry solder joint which I could not see, so I just tipped the washer forward onto its front as I had been doing to get to the control board and again the washer started.
Now this washer is rubbish in my opinion with anything to do with blockages, as it used to get F error codes that I solved by cleaning the pump. now I concluded that tipping it forward could be dislodging a blockege so have just this minute decided to check the pump, even though its not a F code error, and found a ridged piece of grass stopping the ball in the black rubber going to the pump from doing its job. I have removed it so fingers crossed this is the problem and not some relay on the control board. Try tipping it forward and clean the pump out while its over, let us know on here if it solves your problem also to be conclusive this is the issue.

SOURCE: my washing machine says door opened even i closed the door it' always says opened

Sounds like a sticky or broken lid switch. Over time, detergent and dirt can settle in and around the switch, causing it to stick or disabling it altogether. Try pushing the switch in manually to see if the door open warning goes out.

Washer is not working?

Most likely solution: The door latch assembly. When the door closes, the internal latch electronics must "sense" that the door is closed, but sometimes doesn't. When it correctly senses a closed door, it "locks" the door (electronically) and the door can't be opened until the machine has been OFF for about 100 secs. If the door doesn't "lock" when closed, it's just not sensing that it's closed. Solution: Close the door a bit more forcefully. I've seen cases where the door would need to be closed pretty hard, 3-4 times before it "locked". Once it senses the door is closed, and locks, the machine operates normally. The latch assy can be replaced, but often develops the same problem, eventually. Slamming the door won't hurt it.

Hi Lisa. I'm not familiar with the particular machine but I suspect that if you look just inside the machine near the door catch you will see a small button/lever that operates a switch. (look up microswitches on net). Switch either needs adjusting or replacing. You could try holding the switch closed with your finger or something to see if the machine is going to work - if it does look like working (filling?) the switch just needs adjustment.

Try some WD40 spray on the door and lock. Just a bit. Try closing and opening the door. The machine should be in the <off> position.

Samsung sensor quick P801 can't close the door. The main front door can not be close easily. I take me 6 to 7 try to close it. Sometime I need to slap the door firmly. The Door seem to be close but just...

you should not be able to open or close the door with the washer ON. You must first shut off machine before closing the door, then turn the machine ON, this should lock the door closed. to open the door, you must shut the machine OFF, then the door should open easily. Follow the directions in the manual... you can Download the owners manual here, in your language of choice; Follow the link below. just copy and paste it into you browsers window.

When I press the start button on my dryer it depresses but the dryer doesn't start. What si wrong?

Are you certain the door is closed? If it is closed, you may have a defective, loose or broken door switch. The machine will not start if it thinks the door is open. You say it is closed and it may well be closed. If the switch doesn't tell the machine the door is colosed, as far as the machine is concerned, the door is open. You will probably have to remove the top and/or front of the machne to check this out.

Let me know if this works for you.
