SOURCE: How can I clean the roof of my Stoves 720EF Electric Double Oven

I have been using the Lakeland brush on oven cleaner for ALL of the inside of the oven including the stay clean bits without any problems. With the 720, I just brush on the cleaner and follow the instructions. To answer you question, I don't actually lie upside down, you should be able to reach it fairly easily. You may need a number of attempts to get the worse of! Be careful of the thermostat sensor at the top rear right of the oven. It should be bright and clean but will not take any heavy handed cleaning, especially the thin wire leading to/from it. FYI the fan cover at the rear of the oven is held on by 4 self tapping screw and comes off/ goes back on with any problems.(The rear of the cover by the vents build up with grease). Don't use the cleaner on any aluminuim bits ( which includes the fan) as it harms it.

My grill element looks as if it has melted and

From the description you have given it would seem as if the element is'gone' i.e broken.

You will need to have it replaced before it does any more damage to the oven roof.

How to clean roof of AKL 828 /1x

Buy a can of oven cleaner suitable for use in electric ovens and follow the instructions on the can. Its basically spray the aerosol foram and wait then rinse off or preheat the ovena nd do the same and depends on the brand that you buy. It is a bit smelly but does the job! Most supermarkets and domestic appliance stores stock these products.

Neff U1421W2GB/02 Double Oven Grill problem

There are a couple of solutions to this prob,
You can get some plastic metal and build up the corroded area after cleaning it first, then you can drill a new fixing hole for screw.
The other thing you can do is to cut a small metal plate to fit over bad area, drill and fix it to oven liner, again drill a new fixing hole for element to be secured.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

The screws holding the grill element to the roof of my Electrolux oven have come out. They can be removed in order to clean the roof of the oven. According to the manual, it is easy to screw these back in...

Possibly held with self tapping scerws, and hole has enlarged, all you will see are 2 small holes if this is the case, then use larger screws..
If this helps, please leave positive feedback. Thanks
