It is unlikely that will work Lisa, but you can try. Often, it is limited by the processor capability, available RAM memory, and what software you have. In chronologically list order you have;
XP
Vista
Windows 7
Windows 8
Windows 10

There are tips ands tricks in the main link, but this one second down is the best resource and explains the problems and the costs.

Currently running Windows 7 Pro. Have a virtual PC to run 32 bit XP programs. If I install Windows 10, will virtual computer still work?

No. Not now. But Microsoft is working on a 32 bit version of windows 10. After it is released in the future, you can install the 32 bit version of windows 10.

Free download windows xp

The program was written in 1995. It was developed with max capability of 32 bit. The system fails at 64 bit. I wrote the update which made it compatible with XP, Vista and Win 7... 32 bit. I am considering trying to update the program to 64 bit but I'm not sure if the effort will be worth the time to achieve a working copy. In the long run it may shrink to its core functions which are the nice checkbook features. If you have an old 32 bit system around that will keep this great program functioning for a while.
