Usually if it says there is a paper jam, there is. Remove the paper trays, look at the rear, and also open the rear of the machine. If you had a jam and removed the paper, make sure the piece of paper is whole. A mall piece in the sensor will give the error. I had that on a large Dell network printer. Also try removing the power to the machine for 10 seconds.
