My remote controls only work when I am in the garage

Are you sure that the replacement batteries are good? Test them for current output before installing? How about the antenna that is affixed to door opener - is it there to receive the remote's signal?

If batts are good as well as the antenna then the receiver portion of the opener has lost gain and is in need of repair.

Why doesnt work

The remote may have to be reprogrammed, also make shure the battery is new not just because it,s in a package but because of the freshness date , also check the contac points of the battery in the remote , sometimes they get battery acid on them and could damage it, stiny circuit board ..if all else fails you can purchase a new remote on ebay depending on your garage door opener brand model and frequency ! Hope this helps, Sincerely Glenn

Re: garage door opener . i recently replaced the battery in my craftsman wireless keypad now the code doesnt work and i cant get the door open to press the reset button. how do i fix

Changing the battery wouldn't have caused the keypad to quit. You must have had a problem before the battery change. If you have a vault door. That is one with no other way to enter you will have to call a door technician. They can drill a hole in the door, use a special tool to pull the release and then install a keyed release in the hole they drilled.

Our liftmaster keypad doesnt open the door when code is pushed in unless you press hard. Does it need replacement? Battery was changed

Yes the buttons are worn out. Make sure you get the same model number. There are some that look alike but will not work properly.

Keypad lights flash, wont open with code. Wall button and remote work.

You need to do a remote and opener re synch, because your rolling synch codes were lost when you replaced the batteries. Go to manufacturers web site for re program instructions.

Outdoor keypad frequently doesnt work

IF REPLACING THE BATTERY DOESN'T DO IT YOU WILL NEED TO REPLACE THE KEYPAD.

NOTE: (IF YOU HAVE A ROLLING CODE SYSTEM) YOU WILL NEED TO REPROGRAM THE UNIT AFTER YOU CHANGE THE BATTERY.

HOPE THIS IS HELPFULL

Keypad garage door doesnt work all the time

MAKE SURE YOUR BATTERY CONNECTIONS ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT.
IF YOU HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY AND REPROGRAMED THE KEYPAD TO THE OPENER YOU PROBABLY HAVE A BAD KEYPAD AND WILL NEED TO REPLACE IT
