Question about Hoover Steam Vac Dual V w/ SpinScrub Vacuum

Hose that releases the water and cleaner on my Hoover is clogged

I can't get any water or cleaner to release when I use the trigger. I tried to use the hose and the upholstery cleaner and the water would not release as well. I think that the hose is clogged, but don't want to take it to a dealer to get it unclogged. Is there any way I can unclog it myself??

The hose that I think is clogged is the one from the trigger to the solution that sprays out the bottom, not the upholstery hose. How can I unclog that hose? It runs inside the unit?

Hoover troubleshooting

Hi! Try these quick and easy steps to get the water from your hose to spray.

Assemble the hose to the unit.

While holding the hose at an angle towards the ground, pump the trigger about 30 times. Turn the cleaner on then squeeze the trigger for 30 seconds.

If the water is still not dispensing there may be soap residue bulid-up clogging the nozzle/valve. Try soaking the trigger end in warm water for a couple hours, then repeating the steps above.

If the cleaner is still not dispensing from the hose but dispenses from the unit, a replacement hose may be needed. Follow the link below to order a replacement hose for your cleaner. Search Results

Hoover brush and wash instruction manual

Hi there! To prepare for cleaning, put the solution and water in the top tank. While cleaning, all the dirty water gets sucked into the bottom tank. To clean squeeze trigger to release cleaning solution and slowly push carpet cleaner forward, this equals one wet stroke. Continue to squeeze trigger and slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you (second wet stroke). Release trigger and slowly push carpet cleaner forward over area just sprayed with solution (dry stroke). Then slowly pull carpet cleaner back toward you without squeezing trigger (dry stroke). To avoid saturating the carpet don't do more than 4 wet strokes over one area. Always end with dry strokes. Here is a link to view the instruction manual if needed.

Hoover max extract leaks from end of upholstery hose

Hello! The nozzle/valve assembly, the white piece at the end of the hose that releases the solution may be clogged with build-up residue. Try soaking the trigger end in warm water for a few hours. If this does not help, the nozzle/valve assembly may need to be replaced. Order the nozzle/valve assembly by following this link. How to unclog a bissell proheat turbo carpet cleaner

proheat 9300

Remove the water tank. You will see 2 red tabbed plastic spray tubes.(where the spray comes out if not clogged) Pinch the clips to remove from the machine. Then you will need to pinch the hose clips to remove the red tabs from the hose. Clean out those red spray nozzles. Next step: have a towel ready and fill the solution tank with water. Put the solution (not water) tank on to where the water tank would go. Place the machine selection knob to rinse/wet only. Now with towel under the hoses that you removed the red tabs. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to activate the water. You should see water flow out of the hoses that had the red tabs on them. If not, release and pull again the trigger several times. If only 1 hose has water coming out of it then block the one that works and try the process above again to de clog the one that isn't working. Good luck.

What setting do I need to have the machine on to **** up the excess water? I want to download the manual but can't seem to find a link to do so, how would I do that?

You should have the vacuum set to Wash/Rinse for all steps in cleaning. Press the trigger to release the cleaning solution and push the vacuum forward. With the trigger still pressed, bring the vacuum back towards you). Then release the trigger and again move the vacuum forward and then back. Repeat the "dry" strokes until the dirty water enters the dirty water tank. Watch the water going through the dirty water tank lid. Empty the dirty water tank if the suction fails or the tone changes. Do more dry strokes after cleaning the entire surface until you do not see more water entering the dirty water tank.

The manual is available from Hoover at the product site: http://hoover.com/products/details/f7411900/max-extract-dual-v-widepath-carpet-cleaner/ . The direct link is here: http://hoover.com/file/592/ .

I hope this helps.

Iam trying to use the upolhstery piece. Iam squeezing the button and no cleaner is coming out. Iam using by hoover steam vac deluxe spin.

Confirm that the hose is correctly connected to the clean water supply. If so, then remove it and, with the trigger operated on the hose, try to blow into the water feed connector. If you cannot pass air, the feed tube in the hose is clogged and must be cleaned (either by running faucet water into the brush end (with trigger pulled) or by using compressed air....

I read the manual and tried my new Hoover, the brushes spin, but the waters not going to the bottom tank, what does that mean and what can i do?

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You could have a bad water release valve on your water tank of which holds the water, the trigger assm might not be connected, bent or broken. Check the trouble shooting owners manual --- also there are hoses that could be crimped or bent, or clogged or not connected, but it is my guess it is the water release valve. Try to back track the water from the holding tank and test all the valves on the system and you might find the problem by the process of elimination. Hoover Steamvac F5892-900 leaving lines on carpet, does not seem to spray

Is the cleaner sucking up the water like it should? If not , check that the filter on the inside of the lid has a 1/4 in. gap between the filter and the top of the lid. Either that or the water isn't completely being shut off when you release the trigger, in whcih case you would probably have to take it in for service.

Hoover will not release water/solution

Maybe the reservior asm(#24). isn't working, when you push the trigger, it pushes a rod inside the handle to hit the reservior asm. so the water will release. Could be the rod isn't hitting the reservior asm. Maybe these pictures will help.
