Pfaff Machines are difficult to work on so I would only recommend you to take it to your repairman.
For the basics though you can remove the bobbin case assembly and see if you can see where the needle may have dropped and gotten caught on the bobbin case assembly. Replace the bobbin case assembly after you have tried to remove the piece. If you can pick up your machine and shake it slightly and hear the part moving around then you can feel sure it is on the bottom of the box that holds the machine. As long as it is in this location it won't pose a hazard for your machine. If you still feel there is a hazard then go to your local repairman.

SOURCE: Needle will not pick up thread from bobbin

Was the old needle picking up the bobbin thread ok? If it was, then there's nothing wrong with the machine. Check that the needle is inserted correctly--there's a flat side on the shank of the needle and where that goes varies widely by machine. Then check that it's threaded properly.

(I once had my needle in backwards and threaded wrong--took the machine to the shop cause I was sure my baby was broken. Cost me $85.00 to find out that on that particular machine the flat side of the needle faces left!)

Let me know if this helps!

Where is the light on Pfaff 2029?

The light on the Pfaff 2029 is inside the machine near the needle threader. It's to the left of the needle bar near the front of the space behind the front cover. To access the bulb, first remove the accessory tray then use the bulb removal tool. Push up on the bulb as far as it will go and then rotate the bulb and removal tool one-half rotation counter-clockwise. To replace the bulb, insert the new bulb into the lamp changer and guide into the bulb housing. Rotate the unit one-half rotation clockwise. Remove the lamp changer and the bulb will stay in the sewing machine.

Pfaff has the manual for the Classicstyle Home 2029 on the product support site: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Machines/classicstyle-home-2029 . The current link to the manual is http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/ClassicStyleHome2029-manual-EN.pdf?ext=.pdf . The light position and replacement is shown on page 4:2 (page 45 of the PDF).

I hope this helps.

How to remove broken off needle from pfaff machine why is bobbin not working

Where is the broken needle stuck? The broken upper part should just come out like a regular needle (via the needle-screw). If the broken tip is stuck, try removing the bobbin case from the machine. When that is released, everything under the needleplate should be accessible.

If the needle is hitting, most likely your machine has been knocked out of time (which frequently occurs when the needle strikes something it shouldn't). Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

NEEDLE BROKE OFF & BOTTOM HALF FELL INTO WHERE BOBBIN IS. WILL IT INTERFERE WITH SEWING. CAN'T SEEM TO FIND IT TO REMOVE. PFAFF HOBBY GRAND QUILTER 1200. THANK YOU

If it is stuck in the bobbin mechanism, you can remove the bobbin case to extract it. You probably should find and remove the broken piece because it can cause severe damage to your machine. I've actually picked my machine up and shook it to find the broken needle. Sometimes it drops straight through and is actually setting under the machine.

I am not sure how to replace my broken self threader hook, to put in a new hook for my 2040 model, Pfaff sewing machine?

If your talking about the needle threader, it just simply slides on to the stainless steel shaft and snaps on. You might have to adjust it a little if it doesn't line up with the eye of the needle. To do that you need to remove the side cover of the needle bar area, and loosen the 1.5MM allen screw that sets the stop for the threader stop. It is located near the top of the needle threader bar.

Using a Pfaff Hobbymatic 935. Needle will not move, mechanism around bobbin will not move. Everything is locked in place. Tried cleaning everything, removed the needle (to get the fabric out of the way),...

It is likely the the bobbin holder is jammed up with cloth or thread. Take the bobbin holder out and turn the machine by hand, if it does not move it could have a broken timing belt or slipping coupling.

Pfaff hobbylock 794

The needles are changed by inserted the hex wrench into what looks to be holes on the front and left side where the needles go into the machine.I'm not sure what size the hex wrench is but it's pretty small. From the manual,
"Removing Needle: Unplug the machine. Turn the handwheel counterclockwise to raise the needle bar to its highest position. Loosen the needle clamp with the allen wrench and pull the needle out." and
"Inserting needle: When the neddle bar is at the highest position, insert a new needle in the needle holder, making sure that the groove of the needle faces you. Push the needle as far up as it will go and tighten the needle clamp screw." "Removing Needle: Unplug the machine. Turn the handwheel counterclockwise to raise the needle bar to its highest position. Loosen the needle clamp with the allen wrench and pull the needle out."

The machine takes DB x 1, or 1738 needles, and a size 14 needle is recommended.

Hope this helps!
