My Ricoh Aficio 1027 has a fuser code SC542. Is there a way to reset this in service mode (I know how to get in) to continue printing or will I need to replace or repair a part? The copier no longer has a contract and the company will no longer pay to repair it. The alternative would be to disgard it. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

to reset it just enter service mode and cycle power. But first take out the fuser ( right side of copier 2 screws ) and check that the 2 rollers hot and pressure are touching each other no gap between them. The unit you have is a nice unit, for service to fix if replacement is required would be about 300.00 or so... -Carl
