Question about Canon imagePROGRAF W7200 InkJet Printer
When I plot in canon w7200 a black line it give me a Red Shadow
Hi - I had a different problem involving the carriage, but the solution may help you. There is (or should be) a pin on the carriage, visible on the right side when you lift the plastic pieces that hold in the printhead. This pin is about 2 in long and varies in diameter from about 1/8 inch diameter to 3/16 inch diameter. If this pin is not there, which in my case it had fallen down into the ink purge unit, the black will be shadowed by magenta. I don't know how to fix that part, but if the pin is gone you may soon have a bigger problem, which is the pin binds in the gears of the ink purge system and the printer won't do anything after that. Check for the pin, and if its gone and you live in an area where someone can service your machine call them up! In my case i was able to dig the pin out myself and the printer works again, but there is a slight overshadow of magenta.
