Won't boot up on first try

Whenever you do get it booted into windows, run the command prompt and in there run "chkdsk /f". That will check your disk for errors and repair them. Yours sounds like a boot sector problem, chkdsk should be able to fix that.

I too have an Acer and have had numerous problems with it. Initially when I first got it, had the same issue (windows not booting). I called Acer Techs and basically got :"reinstall Windows"... I did so and haven't had that same issue arrive so far. (it's been about 2 years now). Please note it will wipe your drive, so transfer any files you would like to keep first.

There may be other ways, but that is what fixed mine. Good luck!
