Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

2 small rubber pieces have fallen out. any idea

Our hp officejet 5610 was wrinkling paper & jamming so the boss replaced it with an epson. before i junk this thing, i wanted to know if 2 pieces of rubber that fell out of it were important. they are small rectangular black rubber pieces. There are numbers printed on them. HT 1218 40038 if I can fix this, i can keep it. :)

Thank you for trying. It is so dark in there that even with a light, I couldn't find the studs you mentioned. I stuck my fingers in there, however, and pulled out a lot of "gunk" so those rubber pieces must have been off for quite awhile. We only had that printer for a year so it is very disappointing. I prefer the ease of the HP, but I know the boss will never buy another one. HP should know that they are going to lose business if their machines can't hold up very long. Since I also managed to smear the ink on my blouse, I think my fix it days are over. ;) Thank you tho. At least I knew where the problem was.

Those pieces go on the clean station and can easily be replaced. They each fit over a stud where the printhead parks and just press on.When they are missing the ink will dry out on your ink cartridges and the machine won't be able to clean them properly.

HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One continuous paper jam,

This error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. In such a case, users are recommended to remove the jammed paper from the specified location. The entire paper path must be checked for any pieces of paper. To stop the message, open and close the top most cover of the printer. Lastly, verify the flags and the sensors. If the problem persists, the cause of the error message could be a broken sensor or sensor lever.

I keep getting paper jam on my hp office jet 5610

Hello there
You may not see a paper jam.

This may work for you, it has worked for many here I given this advice so gave it a try it could work for you. Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there.

And gave the rode that the ink slides on a good clean and maybe a bit oil on cloth and wipe the rod with it.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Just bought the product and it is already not working.

Check the paper setting in tray. May be slanted and causing it to pull paper in un-even, this will cause jams. Old, wrinkled paper will also cause same problems.
