The printer should automatically work with a new ribbon installed correctly. Try resetting the printer by simply unplugging it for 5 minutes first. Then if that doesn't help, try updating the firmware at the following website link http://www.zebracard.com/id/card/na/en/index/products/card_printers/performance_card_printers/p330i.5.html
