Question about Bosch Washing Machines

Axxis drain pump replacement

I need to replace the drain pump on my Bosch Axxis WFL2060 UC washing machine. I took out the back panel to clean the hoses, but it was not very accessible. I now have identified that my pump is dead... and need to replace it. There are 3 screws holding the pump to the front. I could not see whether you can unscrew from behind or whether you need to take out the front panel to unscrew the unit. Are the screws standard? How do I ease them if they are stuck? How do you remove the front panel?

Otherwise I have been elated by this washer, my laundry is super clean, and I save on detergent as you do not need as much as in the standard washers.... Its capacity is perfect for a three person household but I would recommend the Nexxt if there are more people...

    HI,

well, I just successfully replaced the drain pump on my BOSCH washing machine in less than 45 minutes (clean-up included). It is actually really EASY: here is how to do it without spending about $200 with a repairman.

You need a screw driver and a pair of pliers. and a bit of thigh/**** muscles:-)

BEFORE anything, make sure to unplug the machine (of course)
    1- drain any water that would be left in the machine using the small black hose behind the bottom right panel at the from of the machine;
2- unscrew the bottom front panel (2 screws)
3- tilt the machine back and lie it down on its back (after having placed a piece of wood half way so as to not cut your fingers out while lying the machine down-it is a little heavy-good thigh/**** exercise)
4- reach the unit through the bottom of the machine (it is now at the top): remove the screw through the front casing, above the filter; remove the electric plug at the back of the pumps' motor; using pliers take out the 2 hoses, and the unit will drop in your hand.
5- place the new unit, screw it first and then place the hoses back
6- plug back the electric wire into the socket at the back of the pump
7- tilt the machine back (a second fitness move)
    8- plug the machine back
and you are ready to go!

While it was on its back I also checked the hoses for possible clogs.

I am far from being an expert in fixing things, a fairly petite woman, but also fairly logical....

nice comment however I did it myself in less than 45 minutes and I am not expert in repairing anything and fairly petite in stature... so it is not that complicated!

I'm sorry to say but these are a pain to work on, many shops won't even work on these because of how hard it is to replace parts. The front panel is not coming off unfortunately. Yes, they should be standard philips head screws generally. If they are stuck, spray some bolt lubricant that you can get from a hardware store or an auto parts store. I believe on this unit, on the bottom front of the washer you will find a round access cover, rotate it to the right to remove it, this may give you at least some more room to work on if otherwise basically you have to work from the back. Let me know how this turns out.

How to drain the washing machine?

the best way to drain the unit is use a wet/dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose.
once all the water is removed then you can take the small acess panel off the front of the machine and take out the the drain pump plug. look for anything that might be stuck or obstructing the drain pump.
there is a small hole in the acess panel that you need to insert a small screw driver into push the locking tab in and rotate counter clockwise to remove.

Bosch Axxis WFL2060 stopped working on a wash cycle. The first time I used liquid HE detergent. I am sure I put too much in and the interior foamed up, the detergent tray foamed up and came out underneath...

water in base after overfoaming has leak detection if you can tip machine back this water will run onto floor allowing unit to rest, make sure you put down some rags towel etc to trap water there will be up to a pint of water.

We have a WFL 2090 UC Bosch Axxis Front end load washer. When we use the Power Wash option, the clothes are soaking wet when the cycle is completed. Are we supposed to use the Power Temp or Power Boost...

Are you sure that your washer spins? that your pump drains? You should not have this problem. Do you load your laundry properly (too much laundry- should not be more than 3/4 of the diameter of the drum)?

My wfl2060 will not drain...drain is clear and pump impeller turns easily...this seems to be a common problem with this machine and no one has come up with a solution yet....does Bosch have a solution...

I had the exact same problem and just fixed it all by myself in spite of numerous repairmen who would tell me it is a pain and in the process ask me $200 (without part). Your drain pumpo is probably bad. I ordered the part from www.appliancepartspros.com/Bosch-Washing-Machine-Parts.aspx.
Check the exact part number (I called CS and they were very nice). I replaced the pump in less than 45 minutes with a screw driver and a pair of pliers (some thigh muscles and common sense too) and I am a woman. It is not complicated at all!
1- unplug your machine
2- tilt it and lie it down on its back after having drained any water that could be left using the small drain hose behind the bottom front door
3- remove the 2 screws that hold the bottom front panel
4- remove the screw that holds the pump (above the filter access)
5- from the bottom of the machine, unplug the electric wire
6- using your pliers (and a good grip) loosen the braces around the 2 hoses that connect to the pump
7- remove the faulty pump and replace it with the new one
8- screw the new unit
9- plug the wire to the back of the pump's motor
10- reconnect the hoses
11- plug your machine
and here we go! Mine is running again at the moment- and draining....

Bosch WFF1201 Washing Machine, wont drain

To access the pump filter, remove lower plastic panel at front of washer, there you will see the filter, unscrew filter cover anti clockwise, remove and clean filter.
You will probably find that whatever was causing the clicking noise is something in the filter.
If you can't see anything in it , then have a look inside the pump housing before you replace filter.
Plz rate my solution .
Thanks.

Since you faced the same problems with two new machine's, it sound like a manufacturer problem and you should ask for another new washer or to get your money back !!!! Good luck !!!
