Epson stylus c88 will not feed paper due to a blockage in unit

Hi there,
first off check try opening the paper so you can see the tray where the paper feeds in and check if there is some sort of jam or if anything looks loose.
Remove the cartridges and clean the roller/feeder that takes the paper in. If everything looks good then it could be the mechanical part of the feeder that has a problem and usually this happens when it wears out due to time or it has reached the maximum printing allowance.
If that's the case then a replacement would be necessary.

You need to replace the cartridges

the problems are :-

• cartridges are not recognised or installed
• there is a paper jam.

I think you need to reset the counter, you can either take it into a epson service centre & have them reset it, or download a programme online.

you just need to google it, just type in service reset C88 that should do the trick.

Hello sir; You may go to computer to set up; Hit print then go to preference then paper/quality then you can choice the type of the paper you want to print, good luck.

try rubbing the rubber rollers with alcohol. paper threads may be reducing the grip

Check if there are any objects blocking the way of the printhead or if there are objects down the paper feed area.
Is your printer placed on a stable, flat surface?
Does it happen to all the papers that you are using? Are the papers in good condition?
Try loading only 10 to 20 sheets of regular paper.
do a printer check to isolate the issue. Turn the printer off. Unplug the usb cable from the printer. Hold down the paper button while you turn the printer on. Keep on holding down the paper button only. Let go of the paper button when the power light starts blinking. If it does the same, there is an issue already on the gear of your printer.
