Even if you have cleaned the printer externally tiny bits of paper might have got stuck in the interior of the printer and are obstructing the movement of the roller..Also there might have been some paper clips, pins etc., that might have got stuck in it..
Also printers are hyper sensitive to dust..It might be causing this problem...
Take a cotton swab dip it in alcohol and press it against the roller whilw pressing the paper feed button....
If this doesn't work you should try a longer procedure...Remember you have to look real hard..
It's possible that the paper may be running into a foreign object and not feeding in at all. A foreign object could also cause the paper to stall, or even feed-in crooked. Remove all the paper and use a flashlight to look carefully into the paper feed-in area. Look for a pen, pencil, push pin, paper clip, candy, etc. If you can't see anything, then actually pick your printer up and turn it so the paper opening is facing down and shake it a little, side to side. Your trying to dislodge anything that might be stuck in the paper entrance area. If nothing falls out, then turn it back over and use the flashlight to once again look inside that area. Sometimes you'll see an object that may have moved over into view while you were shaking the printer. Any foreign object might block the paper from actually being able to move forward, so then the printer thinks there is no paper installed. You may have to even remove the Top Cover to be able to get a better view of that paper feed area. Unfortunatly, just removing that cover is not always that easy, especially on the newer printers. You may need a Service Manual for reference, disassembly and troubleshooting. I have not checked, but you can normally find Service Manuals for most printers, at (most Service Manuals can usually be downloaded for around $10 +/- ). Even if there is not a foreign object stuck in that area, with the top cover off, you might just possibly see what the problem is and even be able to correct it..

You can try the following steps....

Turn on the printer and lift the top cover. Wait for the print cartridges to move to the center of the printer. Tilt the cartridges forward and carefully lift them out of the printer.

Dip a cotton swab in warm water and clean the metal connectors on each print cartridge thoroughly to remove all paper dust and ink residue. Continue cleaning the cartridges with new swabs until the swab comes away clean.

Vacuum the interior of the printer with a small vacuum cleaner like the kind used to clean and service computers. Continue cleaning the printer until no more ink residue and paper dust are found in the interior.

Wipe the inside of the printer with a soft cloth to remove any remaining residue. Reinsert the print cartridges into the printer, making sure they are secured with a click, and close the lid.

Remove all paper from the paper tray and flip the tray down so you can clearly see the inside of the printer. Direct a flashlight into the printer interior and look for any torn pieces of paper.

Grasp any torn paper firmly with the tweezers and pull it straight out of the printer. Examine the printer interior again with the flashlight to ensure there is no more jammed paper.

What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.

When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.

How to clear Paper Jam

Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.

To get the secondary error codes

When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.

Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.

To clear a paper jam:

1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

I can't get the door open do empty the shredding

You have probably got the bin so full it is stuck/jammed full of paper and you now can't remove it...this is a "consumer" model machine and to keep cost low they do not provide a "bag-full" light on the should regularly empty the bin so that the shredded paper does not totally jam the bin and in extreme cases then get caught back up into the cutting machanism and blow the pcb inside the machine...check your "users" instructions to remove the bin.

Paper Jam

You need to try clearing the paper using a airblower if you do not have a air blower try with a vacuum cleaner, surely it cleans up. Unless until you remove the paper it shows the msg.

If you think you have no other option and you tried everything its better to call some service guy and get it done.

The paper sensor must be checked. Check if there is a speck of paper stuck inside the sensor. Blow with a vacuum cleaner.

Paper jam

When this happens it is because the pick up tire has either worn out or has alot of paper lint on it. Remove the toner and I think on this one you can see a rubber wheel in the back middle. You can clean this with a little windex or all purpose cleaner. If it will not pick up the paper after that the tire needs replaced.

Pls chk thoroughly the inner parts are clear of any shreds of paper. Blow air thro vacuum cleaner. A small piece of paper sitting on a sensor can create this sort of problem. (For eg, the cartridge stops at both the ends after 'sensing' the end. If paper sticks here, it cant sense and will lead to a crash)
