Lg rh7500 dvd recorder

I have had 3 replacements of of this models so far & they all end up with the same fault & not recognising discs I am going to take action under unfit for purpose consumer legislation. A cheap thirty quid player purchased at the same time reads all the discs no problem there is something seriously wrong with the RH7500 It may be be 1 production batch or a design fault with the whole lot but we should be able to expect more than a year & a bit use for something that cost 200 odd quid.

ive only seen that either if the laser is dirty, or the cd is in bad quality, such as scratched but most likely because it cant read the disc well
