You need to open the tv... remote the cable tuner and solder it. Asl a technician to do this. But if you still have a connection try to use silicon around the connector so its stay firmly.

I took my LG DVD recorder in for repair and now have connected it back with PVR and TV and on the TV screen I have a message "no signal". It is on AV and I am sure I put everything back the same....

Faulty or loose connection for it. Try a different cable. If you still can't get it to work try and get the repair people out to see it, saying it still isn't working. You paid to have it fixed so it should now be working.

I am looking for a remote control, operating instructions or manual and the connecting cables for a 42inch lg tv model 42LH 3000 xd full hd 1080p digital freeview lcd

The manual for the 42LH3000 is available from LG at the product page: . Click on the Support Tab. Alternative site: again click on Support for the link to the manual.

LG has a repair parts referral page, . Go to the site to find your area supplier. The LG remote that I found is . This is a Midwest US supplier; this site may also have the power cord and covers that came with the TV if they are missing on yours. Ferrite cores may or may not included but are available at stores like Radio Shack or online.

The UK repair parts site is: . is the supplier and has the remote, power cord and screws for the base listed.

Universal remotes should also work if they were programmed 6 months or more after the TV was released. Low end universal remotes may not match all of the features. You'll probably need to try several codes to make sure the remote works for all the features, not just on/off. The high end remotes that can be programmed via a USB connection to a computer are the fastest to set up.

The other cables to connect your TV are available at most stores that sell electronics (with a markup) or online cable suppliers. I like but there are others.

I hope this helps.

I have a sky+ hd box connected to an lg 42LH300 tv through hdmi and an LG HT805SH home cinema through optical cable. Whenever i turn sky over i lose sound and have to turn cinema on/off to sound returns ...

One of the way to connect the whole system is using only HDMI cable version 1.3a. There is audio return channel built into the cable. So you do not have to connect the optic cable.
Sky box to TV using HDMI
LG HT805 to TV using HDMI. Even the Sky box audio will come back to the LG-HT through the audio return path.

Im trying to connect my playstation 3 to my 42 inch LG lcd tv

When connecting the ps3 to a nice TV like that, you want to use an HDMI cable. You can use the stock red white and yellow plugs to connect to the back of the TV, however you will not get the full HD experience like with the HDMI cable.

How do i use it so my tv programming is in surround sound?

if the Comcast cable box has an HDMI output, it should connect directly to one of the TV HDMI inputs. Then connect the LG DVD unit HDMI output to the second HDMI input of the TV. Use two HDMI cables. Do not buy the expensive Monster HDMI cables. If you have already done so, I recommend you take it back for a refund, then buy the low cost HDMI cables which will work just as good and then you can bank the savings toward a new Porsche Boxter!! Now we have the video connected from both the cable box and the LG system.

Now--what do you do if the cable box does not have an HDMI output--just use its component output and your component cable (red, blue and green) to connect to the TV component input. This will still get the video to the TV and good HD pictures. Hum--do you have an HD cable box? You did not say and I just assumed that you did since you got the HDTV. If not, let me know with a follow up question and I will assist in that area further.

Now for the audio connections--The DVD player will not need any connections since it in the LG unit. The sound will come out the speakers when you start playing the DVD. The cable box is where we get the TV audio to feed the LG unit. If the cable box has an optical output, use an optical cable (again the low cost one)and connect to the optical input on the LG.
This will get the TV audio to the surround system. If no optical output, use the red and white (left/right) audio connections and connect to one of the two the LG audio inputs. To hear TV audio on the LG speakers, just switch to that input or the input associated with the optical input.

To watch DVDs, switch the TV to the HDMI input to which you connected the LG unit. For TV, go to the other HDMI input (or component input).
Switch the LG to the audio input to which you connected the cable box to get TV sound.

Hope this gives you food for thought. If so, and you have more questions, just come back in with a follow up.

LG LFD790 installed with cable

if there is an input on the back of your cable reciever get a fiber optics cable and put it in to your theater system and into the box then select "ez/optical" and your tv should come through, or you can connect the fiber optics cable on the back of your tv into the system and keep the tv volume off

LG tv color problem

Just like in Solution 3. Color was off. Looked in back and cables "appeared" to be ok. However, I disconnected the cables one by one and amazingly the color returned. So make sure your color cables are truly connected.
