You need to disassemble the external casing of the camcorderto fix or replace the button.
To fix the button you will need to disassemble the camcorder casing. This is done removing external screws. On some model you also need to remove screws inside the DV tape slot. Usually there are also screws on battery slot to be removed. unfortunately the schematics for this model are not available.
Disassembling the camera is quite a delicate operation, and there is an high risk to damage the unit.
