How do I oil the feeder dogs on my singer zig zag 437 please

I could not find the 437 manual (free), but Singer Support has the manual for the 457 model (free download). I believe its close enough to 437 for what you need.

See pp 53+ for cleaning and lubrication. The dogs should be included in one or more of the lubrication points oiled from underneath.

I have Singer 457 zig zag model and the straight stich, top stich is ok, but bubottom stich is very loose. How can I fix this problem ?.

I believe it is called "bird nesting" and is actually a problem with the top thread. See, my answer to the other question you posted.

Needle bar does not move in zig zag mode on singer 457 stylist and will not move to full left with the position lever

Have you changed your presser foot over to the zig zag foot? On some machines it won't work correctly until you change to the correct presser foot.

I am trying to replace monofilm panels in a windsurfing sail, using a Singer 457 zig zag sewing machine. I cannot create a good zig zag seam when the monofilm is sandwiched between two canvas layers.

Joe, you might try a larger needle than you're using. You might also want to try a larger leather needle. You machine should take needles up to a size 18.

It sounds like the needle you're using is having a problem picking up the bobbin thread, and that might solve it.

I recently acquired a Singer Zig Zag model 457. The machine was not picking up the cotton from the bobbin so I took out the bobbin and the bobbin casing. Now I cannot get the casing to fit back ptoperly so...

there are little tips on the 'backside' side of the bobbin casing you just have to wiggle the casing around keepingin mind that the back side needs to fit into place for the rest to drop on in. then you have to get just a little forceful with the the little black brace that should snug the bobbin casngback into place and keep it secure
