You can't chage it with your Direct TV remote control. If there is menu button in front of the tv, just go through the menu, and see the vedio options. From there you can change the input selection. If there is no menu button, you can't do anything without the help of remote control handset.
have you tried running the remote in a differnt resoloution setting, you can get these hangs if the remote conection you are trying to conect to has a massive differnce in resoloution to your screen resoloution, try right clicking what ever software you use, and goto properties then goto compatabilty and set the screen resoloution to 600 by 800 , just a rough guess on your problem , hope it helps
