2004 honda rubicon not shifting

turn machine key on in N, but hold your shift buttons, both up and down, turn key on and hold for 10 seconds, then it will flash a certain amount of times, go get a service manual, and look in the codes section, it will flash different for each code it is thorwing, kind of like a check engine light, or let me know how many flashes and I can look it up.

Start with the basics, Good electrical connections, good grounds, good fuses (test them! they can look good but still be bad) then start looking at the circuit for the shifter. If you can't find a schematic then you may have to take some stuff apart to get to the electrical end of things. Check the switch for the shifter.. If you need some more let me know

these are all electronic transmissions today , some even have a fuse to control the module ck that first , could even be a vacuum hose off , if you cannot find it with these 2 suggestions you have to take it to a repair facility and see most will diagnose the problem cheap or free , but want a fortune to fix it good luck with this one

put the bike in neutral, depress red button on left hand brake lever, pull lever in and push shift lever down, you are now in reverse. To shift out of reverse simply pull up on the shift lever, you will shift to neutral.
