If you dried it out in rice after the fall then you might have a problem with the mother board if it was on when you dropped the device into the water than you could have fried one of the servers that help your computer to recognize the device

hope this helps you

good luck

Access battery in Sony nwz mp3

Salt water corrosion will not be the problem. Salt water will cause short circuit in the components. Highly unlikely you can fix this player even if you clean it up.

My olympus tough tg-310 got wet inside with salt water form the beach now it won't turn on please help.

There is very little that can be done, salt water will corrode metal on contact, all eletronic parts have been compromised, if the memory card is still intact save your pictures and remove it from the camera to transfer to new hardware. Replacing the camera unfortuneately is the only option.

The Philips GoGear belonged to my mom, I was waiting for her to get a new iPod Nano so she could give her Philips GoGear to me. But my mom told me it didn't work anymore because she got it wet. I tried...

Hi brianrodr242...

If you ever find that you have to deal with a wet device, don't just abandon it.
Instead, try the following method to repair the water damage:
DO NOT TURN IT ON!
Take it apart as much as you can. Take out the battery, the memory card and whatever else can be easily disassembled. (Just make sure you can put it back together.)
Store the parts in an air-tight container covered with either dry rice, silica gel packets or kitty litter. These will absorb the moisture from your electronics device, leaving it water-free.
If no rice, gel packets or kitty litter are available, try using a vacuum to **** the water out.
DO NOT blow-dry the parts, it will only force the water farther in and cause more damage.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

Got wet, display turns on, no sound

The salt water (you did say beach) shorted the innards. There is probably still salt in/on a lot of the electrical components causing shorts. Probably should give up on it.

Vista no longer recognizes my gogear. Seems to have started after upgrading/renewing Norton 360.

Hi

Reinstall philips gogear drivers again and im sure it will work. This is probably due to your gogear drivers corrupted, reinstalling will help to repair the software. Check and let me know if vista recognizes your gogear.

Cheers

Dear beckiedadd

You should have let it untouched for 2-3 days for the water droplets to get dried on the inside part of it. But since ur getting a blank screen, this clearly indicates that u have spoiled the mp3 player. Try to open up the mp3 player and clean the droplets. And finally charge.
