I don't see any options for 8gb of storage on my Nokla 95 besides memory of 500kbs. Does the 8gb have to be intialized, installed or dont exist since this is a knockoff. If it has to be intialized how?

Try connecting to another usb port, directly on the computer, also check that the cable is plugged into the phone properly.
if either connector is broken it wont get recognized.
try atleast 5 times, reconnect the cable, try other ports etc, turn off the phone, turn it back on, restart your computer.
Try with another computer, if the problem persists on all computers and no matter what you do, then you have either a faulty phone, broken connector or in very rare cases broken cable.
if you replace the cable and the problem remains then its either faulty phone or broken connector on the phone.
contact your seller for warranty replacement.
As this is a CHINESE phone, NOKLA. Not NOKIA.
NOKIA will not repair this phone.
N95 8GB has only mass storage memory. It does not have a slot for micro SD memory cards. Best method of data transfer is to use the USB to Mini-USB cable (should have come packaged with handset) and choose on the handset Mass Storage mode on connection for easiest and quickest data transfer.
Notice in my question i said Nokla not Nokia. The phone i have is Nokla.
