If you're trying to flush the engine due to sludge, a more common and very effective flush is to substitute a quart or two of automatic transmission fluid in place of the same quantity of engine oil. Get the engine up to temperature, then drain again. Repeat as many times as necessary, the, finally drain all the oil, change the oil filter, and install the correct amount and weight of engine oil.

How to change you oil for any car.

jack ur car up(get a jack put it in the folds of msa car you'll see em there rite next to the cars wheels then put stands their. do that on all four side). then get an oil pan then locate ur oilbox
(its the big black box that usualy under ur engin) then unsrew the bolt that is attached to it ( WACH OUT OIL WILL COME OUT SO DO IT FAST) then let ur oil drain then remove ur filter this is the hardist for me becasue the filter is always located some where differint on every car look. you should look under ur car it looks like a cylinder but short and fat. then unsrew that then let it all drain usualy five minits o and throw the old filter away. then go get new oil and oil filter calledvalvoline (I SAY VALVOLINE BC THE WLLMART BRNDS ARE CHEEP BUT CRAPY AND WILL ACTUALY HURT UR ENGIN BC THE GAT CARBOARD IN THERE I THINK U KNOW WHAT IT WILL DO TO YOUR ENGIN U CAN GET IT AT A NAPA). Then get an owners manual for ur car wile ur at napa then find the rite oil messure screw back the skreew make sure not to strip them take some oil put it around ur oil filter ruber ring then srew that back on fill up ur oil strat your car then turnit off after 30 second check oil level if its at good or above the fill line then your good to go.

I poured CASTROL EDGE 5W-40 TURBO DESEL oil in the BMW 523i. Is this adequate oil for my gasoline engine

Yes, no problem, it's actually designed to support higher pressures than the gasoline engine oil so it will work even better in colder climates.

How to change the engin oil its a 5 serios 2006 model and i would like to change the oil by my self as i used to do in previous cars

Under the engine there is a bolt which can be loosed by using a spanner 20. Loose that bolt and the oil drains out. Although it is most likely you will have to take the sump out first.

Got some gas at Kroger, engin off;; had driven less than 5 miles made one stop, engin off;; a mile later loss power, check engin lite on, it started after a minute;; two miles on did it again;; got to store...

Remove the fuel filter and empty it into a glass jar...If you see any water at the bottom, likely there is far more in the tank (there is at least a gallon or more below the fuel pickup) If there's water in there tank needs to be drained and cleaned.

1995 Olds 98 had oil pan gasket replaced. Oil lite came on,

The oil pump broke down or the oil pickup was blocked not feeding oil to the engin. The bad news, the engin is probely ceised and will cost a lot of money to repair, if it is repaireble.Alternetive is to replace the engin. Could be cheaper than repair.
